WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Great verse, and yes that's what Tebow has on his as well.

Interesting. TP used to just wear the Buckeye leaves on his blackout. I like the switch!

[sarcasm] He should paint his face like the o-lineman from Texas Tech. That would be so totally awesome! [/sarcasm]

He didn't almost go anywhere but Ohio State.

According to him he didn't make the decision till the day of.
I have not doubt that Ohio State was ahead the entire time, but it still doesn't mean that going to TSuN didn't enter his mind.

Anywho, TP... Good luck against Texas.

Mark May did it again on the ESPN Bowl Special.

Terrelle Pryor and "Big Stage".

Hope that Pryor can excel against the Longhorns.

You would think that May would realize that it is the contrast that makes things noticeable. For instance, put a small IQ on the big stage...

Head west young man.

I have confidence Terrelle will improve over this bowl break. He is still a true freshman, he just doesn't play like one. I think having a month off to prepare for one team, one secondary, will be advantageous for the young QB. Progressing through his reads past the primary receiver will be crucial in this game when he has time to throw. His scrambling ability will be a lynch pin for this offense and what it can do. Best of luck dude.

Great point on the having just one opponent...not to mention more time to get further tight with robiskie and hartline to work that deep passing game..which fwiw I think really started to look solid towards the end of the season...One other thing...I also think giving Brewster and the other youngster time to focus on just one opponent will also be a benefit!:oh:

Those who are older and mo' betta' students of the game (bb73; o8ch, etc.) may have another perspective, but I don't remember ever seeing a qb make such apparent improvements from game to game in his first year. Obviously, Troy improved throughout his tenure, but I don't remember feeling like I was actually seeing it happen. Pryor is the anti-Bellisari. I loved SB, but lets be honest, past a certain point he could never get any better. Maybe TP goes out and lays a huge egg in the Fiesta, but I'm inclined to think that we'll see more of what's to come after a month's preparation. In past years I've been concerned about the long layoff before the bowl games, this year I'm excited to see the January 5, 2009 version of the Buckeyes.

I know it's not a Buckeye example, but one example of Rapid improvement in first year starting was Ben Roethlisberger when I was at Miami, his red shirt was my true freshman year and that year he went from, Hopefully he's ok, to well he's better than Ryan Hawk (AJ's Bro), to he's pretty good, to Holy shit he just threw for 3100 yards as a frosh. But a true freshman that has actually progressed I don't know.

I was just watching College Football Live, and a viewer asked Andre Ware who was better, Pryor or Griffith from Baylor... He actually gushed about Pryor over a B12 QB... I thought that was illegal this year.

Good example. I didn't know anything about Ben until after the Holy Schnikies stage. A pro example might be Matt Ryan this year.

At any rate, I feel like we'll make progress this year in the pre-bowl practices and we'll see it in the game, rather than, well, you know...
