The same token, Tebow is a public figure and puts Christian biblical versus on his eye black. I don't see an outrage from any Jewish workers at ESPN.

and when college football becomes uber popular in the gaza strip you'll see espin pay far more attention to what bible versus are being displayed.

tp throwing high in game 1 isn't a significant concern. most of his high throws were when he was on the run anyway.

One was a completion to Jake Ballard that he had to jump up way high to get. I was very impressed with Ballard in this game, by the way. But he was absolutely wide open. If he has a good USC linebacker behind him instead of a clueless Navy defense that play can turn out very different.

There's another completion that stands out in my mind but for the life of me I can't remeber the reciever.

When the INT occured I was not at all surprised because Pryor had been throwing high often in the game.

If a USC linebacker is behind him he still catches the ball. Of the 21 passes more where put in a position for the receiver to catch the ball than overthrown. I remebered two that were not caught and you listed two that were caught so 4 out of 21 is not often.

Does anyone think that maybe Bauserman got in the game just to gain some comfort because we could see Pryor possibly split out as a WR next week for a few gadget plays?
Not really, Pulling that stuff against Texas with a prove Boekman is different than your red-shirt sophmore QB with no meaningful snaps outside of the series yesterday. Bauserman is a good player but I just don't foresee it coming next Saturday. It could happen, but I don't think it's likely.

Here's a bit from Buckeye Grove on Pryor....

Pryor made strides but not there. Ohio State fans have heard the entire off-season that quarterback Terrelle Pryor looks like a completely different guy at the helm of the Buckeye offense this year. Let's not go too far.

Pryor is undoubtedly improved and his numbers for the game were impressive (14-for-21 for 174 yards), but before we crown him and say he has arrived, let's speak some truth.

Simply put, his timing isn't perfect yet. We understand that he is just a sophomore and he isn't going to be perfect just yet, but too many times in the game did Pryor hold onto the ball too long before making his throws. His timing is still a little off, and it is evident.

Often he is waiting for receivers to make their breaks in the route before he throws the ball, especially in timing routes such as outs and slants. Sometimes the ball needs to be out of the shoot quick, but it isn't always happening. Some completions he got could have been interceptions if Taylor Mays was in coverage, but his athletic ability does a great job of masking some of his shortcomings.

Sounds like he still has problems with his decision making. Maybe it's better he never landed at Michigan, RR's offense is based on decision & timing which from what I've seen so far, Tate is already ahead of Pryor in that dept.

I agree completely...just putting Bauserman in when we did was a real head scratcher.

It was scripted: JT said before the game Bauserman was coming in for the 4th or 5th series, to give the backup some live reps because he's always 1 play away from having to step in for real.

A little surprised there isn't more excitement over Pryor. Tressel said he was 10x the QB he was last year in the offseason. I'd say that's about right. I hope we can finally put the arm strength questions to bed. He was putting some heat on some of those passes. Even on his pick, he kept his head up and found an open receiver. He just overshot him. TP lived up to my expectations.

Oh yeah, and he THREW TO THE TE 4 TIMES!!!! How refreshing was it to see that? And they were all big gains. Now teams will have to respect our TE's. Keep that up next week, please.

Half of the Mchgn fanbase is now convinced that they are going to roll OSU and some (but thankfully few) OSU fans have gone full meltdown and want RR as their O coordinator. Sometimes I don't understand how people can become so emotional after the first week of football.

Pryor showed great improvement yesterday and although he still has a ways to go I expect good things from him. I hope he rushes more because he needs to be used in that aspect more. He's too dangerous not to be used.

I concur completely! 66% completions is incredible! He missed on 3 passes basically.. the two early outs (chalk it up to nerves) and the int.. and if he sees Sanz WIDE OPEN in the middle of the field instead of hitting Saine on the sideline the hype is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
