I think TP did some very good things today. I also think he had some things that he needs to get better at. I was impressed with some of his tight passes. To echo what was said earlier, I think he is trying too hard to be a pocket passer. With a kid like Pryor, he has probably been able to do whatever he puts his mind to from an athletic standpoint in his life. He wants to be a great passer, you can see that. He will get there, he's probably a little stubborn about it at times. Until then, there will be a few growing pains along the way. That being said I'll take 262 yards passing, 3 passing TD's, 110 yards rushing, and a rushing touchdown. I tend to think that offsets the picks and questionable decisions.

It hasn't. You can't regress from nothing. He's still hot and cold. True sophomores tend to be that way.

Exactly. When he's under pressure he tends to revert to the way he used to do things. As he gets more and more reps and gets used to being under pressure he'll start to stick with the techniques he's learning. Once this happens, watch out!

That isn't a characteristic of Terrelle Pryor. That's a general characteristic of human nature.

Pryor had a great day. He is turning into a true pass-first QB, and he made several great throws on the TD drive that included the 43 yard scamper. Granted, he is still making risky choices. But, when he is settled and confident, he can make all the throws. Let's just hope that he chooses to make the right ones.

Excellent game for TP today. Just what he and the team as a whole, needed. Some very impressive throws. A few mistakes, as well, but the good far outweiged the bad.

Here's hoping and believing he is going to build upon this performance...

Agreed, I believe he is trying hard and thinking about how to play the position instead of just reacting. He has a tendency to lock in on a primary receiver and not go through the normal progression....Having said that if we are still bitching about a 262 yards passing, 3 passing TD's, 110 yards rushing, and a rushing touchdown performance just wait till the light bulb comes on.....:)

Statistically Pryor had a Vince Young like game ,which is what we need out of him IMO , 250-300 passing, 100 rushing. He just needs to limit the interceptions and in-experience things obviously. Next Year Pryor is going to be freaky good imo.

What I was happy to see was him run with more authority and not so tentitivly. When he saw a lane, a couple time, he stepped up and just took off.

Thats what Pryor needs to figure out more IMO. Is the throw there? If it's not take off. I'd rather have him run for 3 yard gain than to have a forced throw or a throw out of bounds. His legs are such a weapon and I hope this is a continuence of things to come.

I remember saying the same things about Troy during his sophomore season. I think that he turned out to be a decent QB. With Pryor's ability, it's only a matter of time before he starts to completely dominate games.

Sat in the endzone today and had a great view of the field. Pryor threw one pick into double coverage on Small. That one should have been thrown away. The thing that I noticed about that pass (and a few others) was the way he threw it. Open stance, almost side-armed it, with a lot of air under it. He should not try to make a big play on everthing. Still, a very solid day for Pryor.

I was talking to my buddy after the game today, and he was complaining that he wished TP would run and throw the ball away more. It was just then it hit me that TP is running the full offensive playbook as a true soph. That's pretty remarkable. It says a lot about TP that Tressel has put this much trust in him. I think it shows what a very talented and capable player he is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Troy did not run anything this complex until his senior year.

His expectations are off the charts. I think he is progressing very nicely. Sure I would have liked to see him to try running that one in, but I'm not going to nitpick. As long as Pryor keeps improving week to week that is all I can ask out of him.

Pryor showed a few problems that he'll have through the next coule games and perhaps most of the season, but he mostly showed improvement, although of course we expected him to lok good against Toledo.

One of the better things I took away from this gaem were the numbers PRyor put up. We have seen him occasionally put up 190 passing and a couple TDs with 50-60 rushing, and against Illinois he had 110 rushing but only 70 passing, but Pryor had not had one game in which he had really dominated with yardage and TDs and this was that game. He had a career high passing day and also was able to rush for 110yds and had 4 total TDs.

It was reassuring to see this, even though it was against Toldeo, because I saw improvement from Pryor and he even ran a bit more with a career long run.

One thing that he really, REALLY needs to think more about though is running in the REDZONE. On the second last possession of the 1st half when OSU had 3 and goal from the 5, Pryor had an easy, EASY TD and he didn't take it and almost threw an INT. No matter what he thinks, no matter how he feels about it, he NEEDS TO SCORE THERE. There is no excuse to not walk in the EZ and get your team 7 more points. He cannot do that against a team like PSU or UM or a BCS bowl opponent if he has the opportunity. He should've had 2 rushing TDs and hell, maybe he didn't even realize it, but he needs to be able to see the opening and go.

I seem to remember the gameplan against Ntre Ame was relatively complex as well, which was the tail end of his Junior season, but good point none the less.
