WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I've been harsh on Pryor in the past, but it looks like he's finally putting everything together. The two things he needs to work on this off-season are his accuracy and arm strength. Accuracy definitely needs work. However, that can be improved with time. The main thing is his arm strength; not how far he throws the ball, but how fast. Throwing moonballs won't cut it in the nfl, he needs to get some good zip going. Once he gets that I think he'll be a great qb. As a NE fan, I hope Belichick picks him up, sits him behind Brady for 5-6 years, and turns him into a great nfl starter.

He had a lot more zip on his passes this year. He's made big improvements with that since his frosh year.

Random thought here:

When Pryor sits out the 5 games (or less), does anyone think we may see even greater-than-normal improvements?

Call me crazy, but I think that benching him may be a benefit for his career. He has yet to sit out one game in his career at OSU, as he has played every single game, for at least a few snaps (Ohio 2008 being the closest thing to not playing, where he attempted 2 passes, and ran 5 times). Being on the sidelines may help him develop other aspects of the game that may not be possible when your always playing.

I'm not trying to be a TP homer, but that's just a thought I had. Take it for what its worth :-)

I don't know about that, but the last 2 years Pryor has dinged himself up a little bit once we got a few games into Big10 play. I kind of like having a Pryor who doesn't have 4-5 games of wear on his body.....assuming we can go 5(4)-0 without him.

that's the key. you go undefeated without him, lookfreakingout. Dude's going to be salivating to take apart teams already banged up.

Totally agree, in addition to him being healthy when he comes back, it could be somewhat of a blessing. I wonder if there isn't a little bit of "lets see what Pryor is going to do" on the part of the other players on offense sometimes. Not intentional, but when you have a great player on your team, it's something that happens. We'll see I guess, but it will be interesting to see how the rest of the O responds.

The beginning of the season is certainly a lot more interesting that it would have been, that's for sure.

I was thinking about that. But then I thought about something else. Whether the suspension gets knocked down a game or not, teams will not have film of Pryor for the first 4-5 games next season so they will have to gameplan for both QB's. Also, Pryor will be able to come out and call some of the plays that he really likes.

Obviously this is not ideal by any stretch of the imagination but having him sit back and watch makes it seem like a pseudo-redshirt. It could really do wonders for him and he will be healthy for the big ten games for the first time in his career (No minor injuries with his ankles or anything).

Just a thought.
