I've been a well-documented Pryor fan but I'd rather not hear him say that stuff. Your mom can't pay the rent and you need extra cash to help her? I feel for that. But then why are you driving a 350z? Why is your mom also driving a 350z? Why are you taking pictures of yourself wearing a gucci fedora hat with a full sleeve of tattoos that you didn't have before your freshman year?

It's just a shitty situation all around.

Sorry, but please don't tell me that Terrelle Pryor is a victim. It is time to forgive but not to forget the price Ohio State paid for his behavior. His mother and sister couldn't find a job at McDonald's? What about the tattoos?

I don't want to bash the kid but he knew very well what the rules were. He ignored them and brought down one of the best college football coaches in history. A man who made the foolish choice of trying to protect Pryor.

No bashing even now, but puhleeeze, don't play the victim card here.

Here's some things that TP can hang his hat on right now....

1. What has Leinart and TP accomplished in the NFL? Absolutely nothing. Which works out for TP because he hasn't even had a shot yet. He's got a clean slate. Leinart, on the other hand....is a slug.

2. He has another slug in front of him on the depth chart who is one hit away from early retirement.

3. The offense around him pretty much sucks, except for a few choice players. Nowhere to go but up.

4. Al Davis is pushing up daisies.

5. Trust me on this....we were affiliated with the Raiders because of....coaching....changes...ugh.

Nowhere to go but up for TP - I personally think he's in a good spot right now, because he's on an underachieving team that if he gets his shot, and does well, he can be the new face of the franchise instead of some crusty old dude.

Jim Tressel isn't the victim either. Pryor's main mistake was made as a college freshman. He's not nearly the villain you believe him to be.

I love JT and always will, but JT brought himself down. He stuck his neck and he knew what was up if he was caught.

When I was in college I barley pay my rent, but yet I had money go waste on drinking and a 56 inch plasma to boot. It's the way college kids think.....

FTR, I love THE Ohio State University but if I had to sale my golden pants to keep my people warm I would do it. Even if I knew it would bring the program down TBH. Hard to judge a 19 year old put into that situation...

I'd feel a lot better if Pryor just came out and said, "yeah, whatever, I wanted nice things and when I was offered nice things, I took them. Why not? Didn't physically harm anybody."

What is lost in the article is Pryor's competitive drive and work-ethic despite all the drama surrounding him. He's working to get better and I hope he finds success in the pro ranks.

Seriously, you don't complain about struggling to survive to people who have seen you rolling around campus in sports cars and flashy clothing/jewelry. I have a lot of sympathy for the football program and how that all unfolded, and I think Terrelle was unfairly singled out and attacked. But I won't feel sorry for a guy who says his family in need justifies his actions the same way I won't feel sorry for my friend on food stamps who has a hot tub.

Echoing southcampus, if you see him rolling around campus being a jackass all the time and hang around him some, its hard to feel sorry for him. Quite frankly, he was about the cockiest person I have ever met and thought he was God's gift to the world...and this isn't from a one time experience and I wasn't the only one who felt this way. And this wasn't his freshman year. I don't really wish him any ill-will, but he did not give a [Mark May] about this university and I will not feel sorry for him in the slightest, especially when you had guys like Brewster, a true Buckeye and outstanding person off the field, by his side trying to be a good influence.

I agree with the fuck the NCAA mentality overall, but this isn't a case where I feel that way.
