The X Man shines once again. He has shown that he is a very effective runner. See Sparty and Indy games. What is his average per carry? I would feel very comfortable with him and Hayden carrying the load against the Turtles. He is an effective receiver as well as a kick returner. Great on special teams as well. Recovered a blocked punt against Indy. X is turning into a weapon for the S&G.

His stats this season:
7 catches for 95 yards (13.6 ypc) and 1 TD (go-ahead score against Notre Dame)
4 runs for 94 yards (23.5 ypc) including 1 memorable 71-TD yesterday
4 kickoff returns for 98 yards (24.5 avg), all in the 3 most recent games
1 solo tackle (against ND) and 3 assists
He was also credited with 5 yards, but not a punt return, for recovering and advancing the blocked punt yesterday.

Yes, Terry Glenn, the 1995 Fred Biletnikoff Award winner, began his OSU career as a walk-on after experiencing some off-the-field and academic issues at nearby Columbus Brookhaven High School. He earned a scholarship and moved into the two-deep in 1994 before becoming an All-American in 1995 with 64 catches for 1,411 yards and a school-record 17 touchdowns.

I was a pretty young pup then, but had no idea Terry was a walk-on, wow! He was one of my favorite players in early childhood. Terry Glenn, Joe Germaine, Shawn Springs (in no particular order). But X is having an incredible season, he would probably be the star of half the offenses in the B1G. Sure am happy he's in Columbus though and making the most of it.

He’s special…kid is playing in packages as either the #3 or #4 WR and making plays.
He’s stepping in as our #3 or #4 RB and making plays as if it’s his natural position.
Meanwhile he handles kick coverage and is a stud. He handles kick returning duties and is pretty damn good. He also is a gunner on punt return defense.
Like……kid is just an absolute baller. Period.

He has such a great feel for the game when he gets the ball. Runs patient to set up his blocks, sees cutbacks and hes got good pull away speed too.
We now know how the staff wanted to use Pryor but IMO this kid can really be an impact player more consistently. He's done more with his opportunities than any of our backs. Hopefully he's rewarded for that.

i like this point Day made today. X has more RB in his DNA than WR
- On Xavier Johnson playing at running back: "He's done both over his career ... you can see his running skills." Day says the Buckeyes always felt like Johnson was "more of a running back than a receiver." Day says his special teams acumen helped him learn multiple positions over the years.
