Has WSYX (ABC 6) received any complaints or any backlash for its practices during this entire thing (such as knocking on Jim Tressel's door and showing up at Terrelle Pryor's mom's house)?

Although, this is probably SOP these days (WBNS parked outside Pryor's apartment).

Just wondering if there are any complaints or if the station apologized for anything (or a statement). Kind of wish one of their reporters would get attacked to see the reaction.

tressel has a long ass driveway so it would take some balls to actually drive unannounced all the way down it and then walk up to the door....im sure they were in a news van also

Is there any limitation to the harassment they can engage in under the guise of news?

Can I go on behalf of buckeyeplanet and ambush every member of abc news 6 to individually interview them about their tactics, motives and knowledge on the Pryor stuff?

They have had multiple "on your side" commercials that involved extremely rude and confrontational interviews, but this time it was personal. Whatever you think of Pryor, he doesn't deserve this level of hounding, especially his family.

I know multiple players who will not give another interview to abc 6 news after that ambush in PA. That is fine by me anyway considering how their postgame cut ins on video take over the entire group interview that was previously happening.

I fucking hate it when they ambush someone with three DUI's (or something like that) and ask them why they continue to be a danger to the community or something along those lines.

The person will be dealt with by "the system" just fine without the fucking news harassing the shit out of them in a parking lot for the sake of "keeping us safe" or whatever the fuck they pretend the point of doing that is.

Here's an idea, why don't they go ambush someone in an actual position of power about something that actually matters... oh wait, people in positions of actual power can probably get their asses fired and are off limits.

The whole thing is a fucking joke, and the BS Pryor is currently going through is probably the worst yet because he is such a well know figure with almost no ability to respond.

That was a "Seinfeld" episode.

Jerry went to the heckler's workplace and heckled her.

Yes, it's enabling. You don't agree...fine, but it's enabling when you turn a blind eye to it.

Meanwhile, the whole Cam $180k business has yet to be sorted, so I really can't say what will happen there. Is that enabling...sure, but that doesn't change what OUR program did.
giving a kid money isn't enabling. an enabler allows the bad things to happen. the person who is actually doing the bad thing is a little more involved than the enabler.

The story has been pulled for obvious reasons. Sounds like a pretty newsworthy story to OSU football followers, perhaps we should start ambushing the reporter too? :shake:

Today ESPN showed a reporter talking to TP's mom as she was entering her house - she didn't want to talk and said "He's a good boy" as she stepped inside.

But ESPN (or whomever they got the video from) was thoughtful enough to have the license plate on the reporter's car digitally scrambled so it couldn't be read.

Buckeye Father Responds To SI

The father of one of the Ohio State players accused of wrong-doing by Sports Illustrated has decided to issue a response to what was printed earlier this week by writer George Dohrmann. Junior linebacker Storm Klein was listed as one of the players that sold personal items for tattoos or money, and his father, Jason Klein, has issued this response to the charges.

"I have raised my son right," Jason Klein stressed Thursday evening. "Storm has no tattoos on his body whatsoever. He doesn't have a drug problem, and multiple tests prove that. I have every single bit of his Ohio State memorabilia in my possession."

"I will be meeting with attorneys shortly to pursue action against the NCAA and Sports Illustrated," he continued. "That's all I have to say at this time."

Re: BUCKEYE Dad Responds To SI

I left this a free article on purpose. I want this printed on every web site out there..........

It is the least we owe these athletes.

You guys can post this anywhere you'd like on the net............

Jason Klein is the guy you want in your fox hole when the bullets start flying. Not wise to piss him off.

I remember years ago that there was a rumor Andy Geiger and Ohio State filed a lawsuit against ESPN for something they did against the Buckeyes.

Just a rumor, right? If not a rumor, I like Andy Geiger even more (if OSU won the case).

The case with Storm Klein is a very hard one against SI.

I mean, Kirk Herbstreit mentioned Mike Brewster, Chris Fields and Jordan Hall as part of the group of players during the Las Vegas Bowl and didn't receive any repercussion. But this is also the same guy who confirmed that Les Miles was coaching Michigan, was sleepy when he dropped OSU three spots and has frosted tips.

Unfortunately, this is a case where the alleged cover up is worse than the crime. To do nothing in response to the April emails, and play an entire season with those players, got us in this deep. Self report immediately, investigate immediately, suspend the players for the first 4 games of last season and Jim Tressel still has his job. We also wouldn't be getting an anal probe by every hack with a laptop and a ticket to Columbus, Ohio.

Instead, every dirty little secret - no matter how small - is going to bubble to the surface. We're not the only ones with these issues, but we brought the magnifying glass on ourselves in this case.

Prepare your anus. :ohwell:

You hit the nail on the head.

Why does anybody bring the SEC into the discussion? It isn't relevant. People have been pointing the finger at the SEC saying "Cheaters! Cheaters!" for a long time. Now it's come to light that our program is doing the very thing we've accused others of. Seems like the last thing one would do is continue that tired shout considering our program has been shown to display those characteristics. Seems like now would be a good time to shut down that talk permanently.

Thank you.
