ain't it amazing that if you take a look at the "prime" skill positions that Ohio State and Michigan have done as good or better than any other schools out there.
Where do generally the best, most fluid athletes on football teams play? CB and WR.
Take a look over the last 15 years at the talent that Ohio State and Michigan have put out at these positions.
I'll put up these lists against ANYBODIES out there.
Michigan
WR:
Desmond Howard
Derrick Alexander
Amani Toomer
Tai Streets
David Terrell
Marquise Walker
Braylon Edwards
Jason Avant
Steve Breaston
Soon to be: Mario Manningham and Adrian Arrington
CB:
Ty Law
Charles Woodson
Marlin Jackson
Leon Hall
Ohio State
WR:
Ted Ginn
Anthony Gonzalez
Roy Hall
Santonio Holmes
Michael Jenkins
Drew Carter
Reggie Germany
Ken-Yon Rambo
David Boston
Terry Glenn
Joey Galloway
Soon to be: Brian Robiskie
CB:
Shawn Springs
Nate Clements
Chris Gamble
Antoine Winfield
A. Youbooty
Soon to be: Malcolm Jenkins
Pretty impressive lists for two schools from such a "slow, prodding, outdated, speed devoid, stone-age, 3-yards and a cloud of dust" conference.
I'd put both of those lists up against ANYBODY except maybe Miami, which just seems like a freaking farm system for the NFL.
I'd put them up against LSU, Florida, Florida State, USC, and say they are all better lists.
Guess I just get sick of hearing ESPN or reading articles about how Ohio State can't win the BCS title game because they are playing against an SEC that has twice the talent. That Ohio State cannot win becasue the B10 is a slow, weak conference void of any speed. It really is just starting to piss me off badly.
