Your Buckeye Game Record

I have no clue exactly what home games i've been to since 1982, but i'm sure the record is pretty good...so how about I give my record in gams outside Ohio Stadium...probably not as good.

L 31-3 #4 Michigan '91
L 31-14 #4 Florida State (Sugar Bowl) '98
W 24-17 #11 West Virgina '98
W 38-7 Indiana '98
L 23-12 #12 Miami, FL (kickoff classic) '99
W 23-7 #22 Wisconsin '00
L 31-27 #16 Purdue '00
L 29-27 Penn State '01
W 23-19 Cincinnati '02
W 27-16 Northwestern '02
W 10-6 Purdue '02
W 23-16 (F/OT) Illinois '02
L 17-10 #23 Wisconsin '03
W 35-6 Indiana '03
W 21-20 Penn State '03
L 35-21 #5 Michigan '03
L 33-27 (F/OT) Northwestern '04
L 17-10 #16 Penn State '05
W 41-10 Indinana '05
W 45-31 #22 Minnesota '05
W 38-17 #13 Iowa '06
W 38-7 Michigan State '06

Road game record: 13-9

Longest winning streak: 4
Longest losing streak: 3
Record against Top 25: 4-7
Record against Top 10: 0-3
Record against Michigan: 0-2
Record in Bowl Games: 0-1

Under Cooper: 3-4
Under Tressel: 10-5

Well...if I were a Ohio State coach with those records i'd be fired

Another stat...besides the '91 Michigan game, I really started going to some road games in '98 so...

My record in games that I didn't go to during this time is 15-6 plus 5-2 in bowl games for 20-8

Ohio State has done better when I haven't traveled with them, but right now i'm on my longest winning streak...so do I go to Illinois or watch it at home?

I've seen Ohio State play in 15 different places...none is better to see a football game in than the 'Shoe.

I've been going to games for at least 33 years. If my grandfather took me to games before that, the memory was lost to 'experimentation' long ago.

There is no way of recalling how many games I've been to, much less the record. Let's just say I've been to several scUM games, but never to a win; and I was a student for Dark Days I & II. The latter I did not attend, but it occurred within the wretched context of a 4-6-1 year. Why did I have to be an OSU senior then?

Let me just recount the really outstanding games then...

1988 LSU - Great comeback... Still a lousy year... My brother left early... Still haven't let him forget it
1985 Iowa - Truly unforgettable night
1984 Illinois - Keith!

I'm sure there are other big ones that I'm forgetting... Oh well...

my record

Well, thank god for Mich State. I was at the 38-7 John L Smith coaching clinic 8 days ago. What a joke!

Before that, I had not been since I went to the 03 scUM game and jinxed the buckeyes.... because I was there in person Navarre looked like Dan Marino and Chris Perry played like Tiki Barber..... I hate to think about it even now.

That was my only loss in the ten or 15 games I have been at.

My first: I was 13 years old and my father is listening to the game on WMNI radio and he says Damn, let's go down there and try to get into the game. I didn't know anything about OSU football. We were playing (and beating) the #1 ranked Purdue Boilermakers, with Leroy Keyes (Heisman winner) and (I believe) Bob Griese. Yes, my friends , it was 1968! So anyway, we went down to the stadium, and two students (girls) came out at halftime, and the ushers let us take their seats. I had never seen anything like the Shoe, and the sight of the field when you first see it --- well, it's like Dorothy opening the door after she landed in Oz.

OSU won 13-0 and went on to beat OJ in the Rose Bowl. I've been hooked ever since.

The last game I watched with my dad? 2004 vs. scUM, 37-21 Win. My older brother was also there. Great game, so glad I went down to Worthington to watch it. Within two months they were both dead (brain aneurysm and cancer).

I know they would both LOVE this season!

Go Bucks!

no clue and 1.

Games worth noting (most are recent, i grew up in the 90's with those teams and remember games like rice when we scored 70 some points)

98 UM - coops lone win against scUM (it was because I was there:) )
02 Wash St - "MAU-RICE, MAU-RICE"
02 PSU - gamble and punting (aka tressel ball),we we're in the psu section
02 UM - national championship birth, got maced for the first time
03 IU - my first "away game",doing O-H-I-O around someone elses house
04 Marhsall - Nuuuugggeeeee
04 UM - gonzo's td's cacth was right in fron of us, good first date idea
05 UT - My only loss, still convinced we won!! lol
05 Fiesta Bowl - loved every second of it, stayed at the hilton with john hicks and skladeny (cant spell, all american under woody and first kicker to earn a scholarship under woody too i believe) and sat 23 rows up on the 50.. awesome trip
06 Iowa- my first "real" away game, awesome time highly recommend the trip to iowa city
06 MSU - fun trip, enjoyed the east lansing man slaughter as well as the pizza (bring cash, their ATM was broken)

Gotta love the buckeyes, and noplace is like the shoe.. the vibrant colors on a saturday afternoon, the ramp entrance and goosebumps, and of course the elctricty can't be found in many places

Does anyone know where I can find the scores of all the OSU football games from 1999 to now?

My first game was OSU vs. Missouri in 1998.

1998 OSU 35 Missouri 14
1998 OSU 31 Michigan 16

If someone can find me the outcomes from 1999 to now I will update this post.

5-0

Tried to get ticks to the home minny game in (01?) when we lost to them in the Shoe for the first time in fifty years. Ended up watching about a half at hineygate, then listened to the rest on the drive home. Disgusting.
