I got a card offer that paid back 1% on purchases but bumped it up to 2% if you kept a balance. I have to wonder how many people jumped on that one. I imagine many do run a balance so it might have made sense to switch, but more sense to pay off the damn card.

It also helps to haggle with the credit card companies about interest percentages and cash back percentages.
