Your Favorite Lifting Music?

Cornerback6

Optimism Lover
There are some days in my work week when the only thing to look forward to is a miserable weight room session to vent steam. I'm sure many of you can relate. I like some gritty slow stuff (like the 300 soundtrack) mixed in with some industrial/digital rock (i.e. Nine Inch Nails). Either way, what are some of your fave lifting tracks...I could seriously use some new stuff. :!

Here are some of mine if any of you are running into the same problem.

Track - Artist,

1. This Blood - Black Lab
2. Welcome to Bangkok - Brand New
3. Prayer of the Refugee - Rise Against
4. The Mark Has Been Made - Nine Inch Nails
5. Take Me to the Hospital - The Faint
6. Just Like You Imagined - Nine Inch Nails
7. Vitamin R - Chevelle
8. Xerxes' Tent - Tyler Bates
9. Dead Reckoning - Clint Mansell
10. Degausser - Brand New

Cheers in advance! :oh:

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music

I will not bow - Breaking Benjamin
The Pretender - Foo Fighters
Never Scared - Bonecrusher
Headstrong - Trapt

I like some different tunes to listen to, but mainly older R&R to lift to and certainly nothing slow or mellow...

a few are:

Stranglehold - Nugent
Lot's of ACDC (not for those about to Rock)
Get Over It - Eagles
Have a Nice Day - Bon Jovi
Got to be a Lover \ White Wedding - Billy Idol

Nice little list there.

I listen to a lot of AC/DC, KISS, and Poison live albums when I lift. Something about live music gets me going

jump - van halen
paradise city - gnr
fell on black days - soundgarden
everlong - foo fighters
unforgiven - metallica

Believe it or not I like listening to R&B a lot... Usher, The Dream and Miguel kind of music. I think cause it's gettin down music, it gives me some of that adrenaline in the gym too. I'll also listen to some Skrillex, Korn, Waka Flocka or Young Jeezy types of music too.

There once was a time when I could do that as well, but on an Army base, unless you want to hear a bunch of grunting and pneumatic hissing at an ear piercing 130dbs, then you better bring your iPod on max volume.
I can understand that, I set up on of my spare rooms as my little fitness center for that reason alone. Costco was selling 2 year memberships to 24 Hour fitness and i was tempted but then I remembered the smells of a gym, BO, farts, dudes dressed like complete tools, sweaty equipment and i passed.

Air Supply
Michael Bolton
New Kids on the Block
Barry Manilow

Trust me brother...nothing gets me amped beyond rage like Manilow's Greatest Hits.

I am almost appaled that you would leave a demigod like Dick Marx off this list though. You have to admit, he really does complete this quintet of thrashing.
