Zach Smith (Official Thread)

Oh I'm in that group for sure. It's just a little cringey for me to see people talking shit on his coaching now that it's easy.
To be fair I think most were on the fence regarding Zach but this is on another level. Even if not entirely accurate the positives of keeping Zach on board at this point seem very minimal and if this is all accurate then forget it he's gone.

To be clear, I'm not calling for him to stay (innocent until proven guilty blah blah blah aside). Just noticing some fairweatherness in regards to his coaching abilities. 3 years ago diddy comes here to bitch about "Spaulding" and people (myself included) defend him either because he's a Buckeye or because diddy is a douche. Now that he's shown to be a shitbag of a person and likely on his way out....it's pretty easy to take off the scarlet glasses and start calling for Brian Hartline.

And 001 comes full circle
"Zach was returning his 13-year-old son to his ex-wife, which had previously been agreed upon," Koffel said. "The exact location of the drop-off hadn't been discussed. They were texting each other as to where to meet. She told them to meet at their apartment complex clubhouse. He drove there. She wasn't there, and he dropped the son at her apartment. She was waiting for him with her cell phone out, and took a picture of him in her driveway. He left and she called the Powell police and said it was trespassing.

"She never presented the shared parenting plan to the police department. She never presented the shared parenting plan to the Delaware prosecutor's office. A criminal complaint was filed against Zach. He was never arrested. He went to Powell PD and picked up the criminal trespass complaint. At no point did he ever violate the shared parenting plan. And we entered a not guilty (plea) on June 5."
That's one side of the story. Either his ex-wife hates him extremely badly or there is more to the story
Needed to be fired yesterday. I have no idea why Meyer is still keeping this guy on the staff other than he's cheap and has connections to Earle. It disgusts me this guy is on the staff.

Hartline is fine and Kenny Guiton has actual WR Coach experience under Herman
This guy got handed a coaching position on a silver spoon because of his grandfather despite no playing experience, he's one of those tough guys that thinks he's the shit because of it and can beat women and do whatever he wants
