Zach Smith (Official Thread)

Coaches? Who are they lying to?
Nobody knows at this point, but it got him real fired up. Can't say I've ever seen him so rattled, so my guess would be somebody important...

What an utter tool Spaulding is.
Right out of central casting for Malibou's Most Wanted.

It's no surprise that Herman, Ash, and Withers left him here instead of giving him a shot.

But I can only assume Urban doesn't care about his disgraceful act or is doing gramps a solid.
Right, because Urban values nepotism over meritocracy. You must be shittin' me.

I'm willing to bet it's this guy.

Who? Nebraska & WR's = hmm. I can name one, Kenny Bell. Hard to imagine recruiting any way but negatively when at a program that hasn't gotten back on its feet since the age of the Option attack.

I'm guessing CCHS is centennial corona high school...
Pretty sure it's coaches. The whole tweet was abbreviated to be able to fit 140 characters, which it did by just one.

Nice representative of the University and surely impressive to the parents of prospects.
Keep it a 100 Spaulding.

If he was on the staff of any other school, which he will never be because of his immaturity and he simply isn't accomplished, then everyone would loathe him.
Everyone. And if you say otherwise you are ignorant or intellectually dishonest or under 18 years old.

In hindsight he is 50% Spaulding Schmails and 40% Shane McMahon and 10% Eric The Actor (RIP).

Here is a tip. If you never played a down of football in college and are a coach, keep Beavis like theatrics on twitter down, at least until you are accomplished.

So you think he's not accomplished? I think his recruiting successes, relationships with his players and their families and his national championship ring(s)* validate him as a coach. Stop hating and trust in Urban.

*I know he has one but I don't know if he has some from his time at UF.

Compared to the other coaches on our present staff and those who were coveted as HC's elsewhere and left - No.
There is a reason he hasn't been asked to further his career as an OC under Ash or Herman. Or for that matter by anybody else.

And the rest of coaches conduct themselves as adults.
Can you imagine Larry Johnson, Schiano etc acting like him.
Can you imagine him ever running his own program?

You tout his "relationships" with the players. I prefer my coaches to be mentors as opposed to Bro's.
As for his recruiting successes, I wonder how much success he would have if he wasn't at OSU and working for arguably the greatest coach in modern day football. A dead cat would fare well.

and he was a glorified ball boy at UF.

It's almost like he's working his way up the ranks.

No wait. You're right. Let's string him up because he hasn't been hired as a head coach and won a national championship on his own yet. Sorry Spaulding.....you're not the Urban Meyer of WR coaches, so clearly you need to go.

1. None of the other Coaches that has left or is currently on staff has the ties to tOSU like Smith does. Maybe he is happy where he is and to learn from Urban.

2. He is very young compared to the rest of the staff and of course I can't see Coach Johnson or Schiano acting like him b/c they are over 50 years old.... Smith is a new breed of coach, take it or leave it. Urban seems to approve.

3. Your preference for a coach is one who is a mentor and not a bro. Where do you play?

4. Who wouldn't want to be a glorified ball boy at UF during those championship years? You are clearly hating.....
