serious answer; it's never one thing in a vacuum, it is always a combination

play design, play calling, pass pro, receivers, QB accuracy.....it's all connected

I tend to agree, way too many variables to determine a clean read. That said, receivers are now suspiciously getting separation that didn't exist before. Don't care what it is, just glad what ever it is was found.

could just be that they are just finally ready to go out and do so on a consistent basis

then you have to start doing self assessment of why it took so long. S&C? technique? something about the type of kid they recruited? body type? Lots of variables. We all have our assumptions obviously but you want to be methodical and scientific. Validate your hypothesis or disprove it, either way learn quickly. That is the only way to get a true edge on your competition.

I said previously it was the passing game, routes, spacing just sucked ass. Guys 4 yards apart. Total shidt show. You know, kinda like Tejas this year.

While I agree with Jax in that it's a pretty complex system to point your finger at one thing and say, 'that's it' I was being a little tongue in cheeky with my 'serious question' comment. Personally, I think that last year the OL, especially the right side, did not provide enough time for JT to unload the ball. That's the chicken. The egg, however, is that the plays that were drawn up may not have been good in consideration of the line was able to do.

Face it, we're 180-degrees away from where we were last year on many fronts. The line seems to have come together, even with Knox entering late (nice job by him this week, less the jumps). The plays drawn up seem to really make the best use of the personnel and getting them the ball in time and place to do something after it gets to them. The play calling isn't tic-tac-toe anymore... 'wasted' plays are largely being used to show things to expose the defense in later plays. The QB has been un-Becked. They're using the TE for (gasp) more than a glorified OT.

Now if they can just clean up the penalties and ST remarkable will happen here.

Three weeks to get it done...
