Zeitgeist: The Movie.

My apologies if a thread on this exists. But this movie is causing quite a a ruckus on the interwebs. View it here.

It's two hours.

You internet nerds will watch it eventually. I assume some have. Thoughts?

To elaborate (a little) more..

The first hour or so talks about the economy and why it is intentionally designed to keep the United States in debt and a very small number of people actually run the country and political leaders really have no power. It's pretty interesting, I must say.

The second part was about The Venus Project, basically a way for change from a monetary society to one where money is not necessary. This part seemed a little too Utopian for me. It sounds like a gret idea, but the actually chance of it happening is slim to none.

I watched it in chunks, and I'd recommend anyone that has an open mind (or someone that wants to scoff at the creator/believers of the film).

Just watched it tonight.

What portion would you like to discuss? The religious Part 1, the 9/11 myth part 2, or the Fed Res/Income Tax/One World Gov't/Amero Part 3?

I must say, this movie is very intriguing. My personal favorite part is the religious part, I understand the parts with the sun and constellations, as I feel a connection between these revelations.

Personally, I thought that was the least relevant part. It's, at best, tangentially relevant to what seems to be the main thrust of the film.

One thing that has struck me about the film after thinking about it for a night is that they never offered up any considerations for what the populace could/should/would do in order to counter the activities of this "intellectual elite".

To me, (and I'm more than open to being wrong) their lack of a direction to take after sharing this information puts the producers of the film up into the same sphere as those they are lambasting: fear-mongering.

Don't get me wrong, I found many things intriguing. I just happen to still be in cynic mode.

I agree, it's just that my personal beliefs coincide with some of the things mentioned. It is somewhat out of place in the theme, though this is a "conspiracy" movie, and what is one without a section on religion.

This is a movie to be a cynic about. To dive headlong into it without perspective or other research would not be beneficial to the individual. This movie is educational from a view that is unfamiliar to most people. But people can always come up with problems, rarely do they have solutions as well. This is a problem of this video, like you mentioned.
