'14 GA DE Lorenzo Carter (Georgia Signee)

I think it's somewhat telling IMO that most of the Coaches weren't around when he "stopped by" OSU. For being such a highly rated recruit, it didn't seem like OSU was ready to give him the red carpet treatment. I get a weird vibe from it all.
He showed up unannounced. The staff weren't expecting him. And in spite of that, our DL coach showed him around on his off day. I would take the longevity of this staff over any 5* prospect any day.

I don't know how unannounced as recruiting sites knew about this trip in advance of him stopping. Also, not sure what longevity of the staff has anything to do with this.

Only thing I'm alluding to in this whole thing, is that perhaps the OSU staff may feel Lorenzo is "high maintenance" and decided against making a full press.

I doubt that. He was to make a trip to ND, and decided, as an afterthought, to stop by at tOSU.

Regarding the longevity of the staff, they have to have their time off. UFM has admitted he didn't take time off at Florida. That's part of the reason why he had health issues at Florida. This staff needs to have their time off.

See post #20 in this thread. Word at the time of the visit was that he came in unnanounced, thus the staff wasn't ready for him. Unless its behind a paywall, for anyone to insinuate that there are character, ethical, or moral concerns with him are making big assumptions about Lorenzo that aren't fair. We are better than that.

Well, this can continue round and round, but probably best to let it be as it is an unknown. I do know I read before hand that Carter planned to stop by OSU, in advance.

Also, I'm certainly not wanting UM to drop what he's doing either. These guys know what they're doing, and what it takes to land the top rated talent they want... that is all.

I hope the Lorenzo chatter about wanting to play with Raekwon is true and they both end up here. I hope LC is a good guy and bolsters an already stud D Line group. I also hope for world peace some day. Or whirled peas at a minimum. That is all.
