2006 McDonald's All-American Game

Actually, Oden's strength is in mathematics. So the fact that he's a little soft-spoken is irrelevant to his ability in that area.

Wake Fans are suffering from severe bitterness.

May be a little off-topic...

but anyone watch the McD dunk contest? Didn't even know it was on...

Oden looks good, but that wrist being sprained made me miss what i wanted to see most out of him: his jumpshot. Also, as mentioned before, he does seem to be able to get in position for the board, but doesn't pull them down...maybe the wrist again. Still looks impressive...

Take nothing from this game regarding Oden on offense, if you watched the entire team then you would have seen that his teammates rarely gave him the ball. Just wait till the offense is around him.

Also, Conley kept getting snubbed which kept frustrating me.

Cook looked great, next year is going to be awesome.

my point was that I didn't know the game was today, and I didn't see a thread about it. how am I supposed to search for something that I don't know exists?

This game has seemed to lose it's luster. It's used to be on a weekend afternoon on like ABC, now it's on a Wednesday Night at 10 pm. Plus, I didn't even see an ad for the game until the 6pm Weds. night Sportscenter.

They didn't advertise the game at all.

This game has seemed to lose it's luster.

It has lost some of its luster the last few years because of most of the players in the game jumping straight to the pros and just the overall feel of the All-Star game....the past few years because of the NBA thing, players would try to put on a show to showcase themselves and the feel of the game went downhill in my opinion, but this one last night was pretty good in my opinion.

Texas-bound Durant carries West in McDonald's game

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Kevin Durant scored 25 points Wednesday night to carry the West to a 112-94 victory over the East in the McDonald's All-American high school boys' game.

The 6-foot-10 Durant, heading to Texas, scored 11 of his points during a 17-0 run in the second half that carried the West into an 89-76 lead with eight minutes left in the game.

Durant, of Suitland, Md., was the game's co-MVP along with Chase Budinger of Encinitas, Calif., who had 11 points and four assists. He'll be attending Arizona.

Daequan Cook, an Ohio State recruit, scored 17 points, and Spencer Hawes and Sherron Collins both had 11.

Greg Oden, the 7-footer from Indianapolis who is heading to Ohio State, had 10 points.

Gerald Henderson, a Duke recruit, scored 10 points as the East built an early 44-24 lead before the West rallied to take a 55-48 halftime advantage.

Henderson, of Blue Bell, Pa., led the East with 16 points. Thaddeus Young, who is going to Georgia Tech, added 14 points and Brandan Wright had 12.
Oklahoma recruit Scotty Reynolds of Herndon, Va., scored three points for the East on 1-of-3 shooting.

arizona commit, budinger won the dunk contest easily. His first one was not going to be beat let alone his last one

They gave it to Henderson with a very common dunk

That whiteboy can jump:)

He's on the U.S.A volleyball team already and they say he's one the best in the world now.

6'8 with a 40 inch jump
