2011 SEC Football Discussion

Yeah, I wouldn't mind it happening, but until Mike Slive says it, I'm going to be skeptical.

Also, Knile Davis: High Ankle Fracture.

We. Are. Arkansas.

Based on our experience from 1985 when Keith Byars broke his foot: the best you can hope for is to knock a conference member off the #1 perch. The Buckeyes did that in '85, but accomplished little else.

Of course, the two injuries are independent events and what happened against Iowa in 1985 has no bearing on Arkansas in 2011. So yeah, you're pretty much screwed. I was just trying to make you feel better. Hopefully you've mistaken this for a 'ubet post by now and stopped reading a few sentences ago.

same here.

i would rather them than some other former SWC team that already joined.

I think Nutria has fired a shot.

lots of rumors on the interwebs tonight saying the Texas A&M to the SEC deal is done.

Feel free to talk about possible SEC expansion in here.

If you want to get into a more widespread discussion of numerous conferences possibly expanding, including domino theories of a few 16-team super-conferences, we talk about that stuff in the BP.Conference.Expansion thread.

That's because he knows that Petrino owns Miles. He's just bigtalking 'cause he scared.

Anyway, we get Dennis Johnson back this year after his horrifying bowel injury early last year, Ronnie Wingo looks ready to live up to the hype and freshman Kody Walker is going to be a good one.

We're going to be fine.

not scared of anything.

just pointing out that A&M was an actual rivalry game for us for years.
Arkansas was (and always will be) just another game on the schedule.

A&M would have been the right move back in '92 and it would be the right move now.

either add someone to the east to keep balance, or jettison Arky back where they came from to keep the conference at 12.

I pray to god they don't bring in another team from the little dozen and force us to lose our annual rivalry with either of the Alabama schools and/or Florida.

Yeah, I get that. You'd rather have a team you stand a halfway decent chance of beating.

just the opposite.

i want a team that's a least sniffing .500 against us all time.

it wouldn't take long to rekindle the old flames of our rivalry.
easy drive fro BR to College Station.
a TV market that is significantly better than that shit hole y'all reside in.

We're up 40-24-3 against them all time. Our 2nd biggest rival from the old Texas Conference days.

Aren't y'all 26-20-3 against them all time?

And a coon-ass from Baton Rouge calling Fayetteville a shithole is hilarious - not to mention that College Station is a shithole

I'm not from Baton Rouge, from a couple hours south of there.

And I wasn't calling Fayetteville a shit hole.
I was calling the entire state of Arkansas an irrelevant cess pool.
