CBF40's look at '12 recruiting (BP's prediction thread)

No time to feel bad for them, it's a business. If we don't jump in and try and get Schutt then someone else will.

Just gotta keep the lines of communication open and let the media do the rest for now and hopefully if/when he opens it back up we'll be on his list.

Penn State made their bed, I feel bad for their player, students, and fans but they put themselves in this position and I'd be surprised if many kids wanted to be a part of it.

While you are entitled to your opinion, opinions need not always be spoken. One of the differences between those with class and those who do not have it is knowing when it's best to just say nothing.

We are not Luke Fickell. He should have your attitude. We are on a messege board, discussing things that may happen down the road. Why is this so bad?

It's funny to read the ESPN looking stupid thread and then read this thread where we look stupid for the same crap of talking about recruiting impact or how this makes us look in regards to TatGate.

Difference being this is a bunch of anonymous internet posters being insensitive, not a multi-billion dollar corporation doing it on national television.

They are and should be held to a higher standard.

Whatever pal. I'm sure Fickell will be just as classless as I am when he talks to Schutt in a week or 2.

I don't know about you, but I hold myself and (most of) the posters on this site in far higher regard than I do ESPN and multi-billion dollar corporations.

I see...so it's OK for BP folks to act like tools, but not ESPN. Gotcha...

Well, yeah. Pretty much. :)

I mean, really, are any of Jerry Sandusky's victims reading this thread thinking "How could those tools be so insensitive as to think about recruiting right now!?" Isn't it far more likely that they might be watching ESPN thinking that?

It's perhaps insensitive to wonder about recruiting, but I certainly don't see that as any indictment of a person's character to wonder.

Whatever. Hardly a big deal either way, in my IMO.

EDIT - Heck, if I heard someone on ESPN say some of the things that I have posted here, I'd probably be outraged.
