When scUM cut it to 31-17, msu proceeded to run off a couple of boneheaded drives that looked like they were actually about to let scUM back in the game, but hairlice handed it right back to them with an interception as they were driving again. They definitely looked like they were morphing back into sparty of old, but scUM "out-spartied" sparty.

That could quite possibly be the most damning statement of where that program is at right now that has been typed to date.

Sights from the MSU beatdown of the Walverines

Buckeyes, for your viewing pleasure, a little of what went on in Ann Arbor yesterday.

Yes, they are the Walverines, a hybrid name representing where they work and who they root for. Walmart and u-m.

Good ones first, entertainment value later.

IMO, sparty is still sparty until proven otherwise. I still think they'll lose a game or two before all is said and done.
I don't see us beating Iowa on the road in two weeks, we haven't won there in forever.

If we pull that one off or at least be in the game to the end, its a good sign our program has turned the corner and rid ourselves of the old culture of MSU football.

We are finally beating ranked teams, and trust me, as a MSU fan for almost 30 years, I take every bit of progress with a grain of salt. Something feels different about this group of kids, its a different feeling. MSU would have pissed a game away by now.

How could you forget PSU getting curb-stomped at home by Illinois?
That was a fluke. Illinois did nothing on offense all day. We face a similar offense to um with the running QB, so that doesn't worry me at all.

Illinois put up 33 points with 250 yards of offense. They won't get the tipped pass TD, and PSU is a shell of their former self. MSU is a much better team than PSU right now.

MSU will move the ball against ILL, and the Zooker sucks as a coach. He got handed a loaded team and a loaded recruiting base while at FLA, and still couldn't get it done.

ILL won't control the ball for 2/3 of the game like they did against PSU. I expect MSU to win by two TD's.

I think he was referring to PSU losing being part of the Great Day thread title, not that they would beat Sparty.

not trying to be disrespectful at all but scum did move the ball on your defense ALOT on sat and your pass protection wasnt exactly the best....illinois has much better athletes on defense and 2 big backs with some speed...i can easily see you winning but I am not sure by 2 td's....just my opinion

Wow. Yesterday was full of win. In addition to the Bucks inserting a plunger sideways in another Big Ten opponent yesterday was a great day to be a Buckeye!!!

First (paging ORD...) Cincinnati gets plungered at home by ... wait for it ... Syracuse.

Missouri falls from the ranks of the unbeaten to (future Big Ten member) Nebraska.:neb2:

Michigan St. proves ... They're still the same old Sparty.:msu2:

AH YES, THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING ... THE DOMERS EPIC FAIL AGAINST TULSA!!! Thanks to ORD and Grizzly.

Last but certainly not least the horse abortion of a football team up north gets whacked by a State Penn team starting a walk on redshirt freshman QB in primetime on ESPN.:slappy::slappy::slappy:

I fucking love college football!

Ehh... I have no hate for Texas... the 3 times OSU played them was great. Fans for the most part were excellent. Mack Brown is a great guy (it seems) and is a program very similar to Ohio State's. I wish we played Texas every year.
