LB Joshua Perry (National Champion, BTN CFB Analyst)

Skies the limit for my man. Kid is going to be huge physically, he's so long limbed. I don't thiink he'll redshirt and will make an instant SP impact.

Does he have the talent to play 4 plus positions yes, now he just needs to refine his game.

I definitely like the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde types.

Funny now everyone is talking about him transferring back to OSU now. This myth has been debunked but some players we just don;t give up on.

Anyway Urb is taking care of business now!

This kind of discussion belong in the rumor mill, not Josh Perry's thread. That rumor has also already be addressed numerous times and put to rest.

In regards to Josh, I absolutely love this kids potential. Physical freak and appears to have a good head on his shoulders. I think the sky's the limits for him

I have read a few places where people say that UFM is not afraid to move kids around to different postions. With missing out on Heuerman it gets me thinking about Josh again. I admit I am no expert at breaking down film but just based on this kids athletic abilities and build it sure seems like he could be a great H Back/TE type for the type offense Urban likes to run. I know LB is an area lacking in depth but I still say Josh would make a good one on the offensive side of the field. Of course, so could Anzalone. I guess that is a good problem to have - great athletes that can play different spots! Anyone know if Josh has experience on the offensive side?

EDIT: I see where he played WR some last year. I'm going to stick with my gut on this one.....Josh ends up on the offensive side.

Entrance Exam: Joshua Perry
Freshman has already cracked the two-deep at outside linebacker
Updated: August 17, 2012
By Brad Bournival | BuckeyeNation

Entrance Exam is a series at BuckeyeNation where we chat with incoming freshmen in Ohio State athletics.

The door is open for Joshua Perry, and he knows it.

With the linebacking group "thin," in his words, the 6-foot-4, 231-pound Lewis out of Olentangy High School north of Columbus sees the chance to be something bigger than life if he can crack the lineup.

With hard work and dedication, Perry isn't just expecting to find his name on the depth chart -- he is currently there at outside linebacker -- he's ready to play.

Defensive coordinator Luke Fickell said the linebacking uncertainty "definitely leaves the door open for young guys. I think that's what those guys that came in are excited about, and it creates some excitement. The key is trying to keep them motivated, and it also pushes those guys that might have that opportunity to be in that position, too."

As a fitness junkie, I think it's incredible what Mariotti has done with the S&C program. His work might not show up directly on the stat sheet, but his efforts will make a HUGE difference come game day. In a game of inches, it's staffers like MM who make the difference.

Josh played quite admirably replacing Sabino Saturday. I think he'll do just fine while Sabino is out. Side note, he looked a lot taller out there than I expected...he dwarfed our corners/safeties when he was near them.

Thanks Mili,
my old eyes or camera angles weren't the best for seeing how well Josh played replacing Sabino....didn't hear his name much.

By the way, Buchtelgrad's post of the 'before' and 'after' of Josh is pretty darn amazing in terms of muscle build-up. I expect that steroid testing is still being done (I'm sure it is), so WOW if one can build up that amount of muscle on weights alone.......no wonder the OL dropped 500+ pounds of fat and added 600+ pounds of muscle.....
