LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

If Florida is really out as is being reported (according to Ryan himself), then I really think this one will work out for the good guys. I don't think a 24-hour trip to LSU that his dad didn't go on carried nearly the weight the trip to Columbus did. No stretching bananas at this point but I like where this is headed...

Florida loses commitment from LB Ryan Shazier, but could still land him
by Jason Lieser
Plantation LB Ryan Shazier no longer is committed to Florida, but would not rule out signing with the Gators.

?It?s LSU, Florida or Ohio State,? Shazier said. ?I really don?t know.?

Shazier declined to give specific reasons for his de-commitment, but he ?felt like that was the best decision.?

Shazier committed to Florida in June, but was wavering this month. When Urban Meyer resigned Jan. 8, Shazier was even less sure about the Gators.

New coach Will Muschamp has been recruiting constantly since accepting the job Saturday.

Shazier plans to enroll at a college in January, meaning he must make his decision quickly. He said he is done visiting schools and plans to take this weekend to make his final choice.

He is 6-3, 205 and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. Rivals.com ranks him the No. 2 outside linebacker in the state, and No. 12 nationally.
