Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 215 lbs

Brother Rice (Mich.) quarterback Alex Malzone and Dublin (Ohio) Scioto linebacker Nick Conner were both added to the Scout 300 today.

Conner is another who had an excellent junior season. He is a throwback type tough-guy linebacker who always seems to be around the football. He makes a lot of plays in the backfield and his production this season could not be ignored. While he won't play offense in college, his offensive film showed his athleticism and toughness as well. He currently has offers from Kentucky and Illinois.

By Wiltfong...admits that is OSU offers they would be the team to beat and talks about his multiple visits to the campus...Illinois is recruiting him hard (Illinois' recruiting coordinator is from Dublin)...also visited Kentucky twice this past season.

I think he gets offered soon as well. Too good to pass up. I think the plan has to be to take Conner and Kilby-Lane (who I think could both be early commits) and then chase Baker (who I think ends up a Buckeye but at what position remains to be seen) and Hilliard (it's early and he's a toss up at this point) until they tell you to stop. Anyone else, like DeBerry, is icing on the cake, although I think he ends up at DE and bringing in any more than 3-4 LBs (with Baker being a wildcard position-wise) in the '15 class seems a bit like overkill.

First thing that jumps out is the kid's instincts for the position. Already better at getting proper depth on drops than some of our 2 or 3 years guys on the roster. If Conner was in this year's class, I'd venture to say that he'd be the best LB in this class among Berger, Booker and Fern. He's that good, and word is he might get offered soon.

So we could have an almost all Ohio LB commit for 2015? Or could we wait to offer after hearing back from a few other OOS kids?

Wad already answered my questions. Kid must be really good

Would LOVE to see an offer here. Nick is a serious talent...we seriously could stay in-state for this LB class, although I want to see Sh'mar Kilby and DeBerry in this class as well.

I think DeBerry will be more of a DE. But agreed. Wouldn't mind a LB class of Hilliard, Conner and Kilby-Lane. Add in a surpsie (Holland, Jefferson, ect) and we're all of the sudden loaded at that position.

Like Nick's film. Definitely worthy of an offer. Deberry is DE all the way and Baker is a LB all the way. Jerome has openly stated of late that he wants and plans to play LB. I also think while he's a nice HS running back, he isn't dynamic at that position. He's an OLB all the way and Im glad that's where he wants to play.

Connor, Lane, Baker, and Hilliard and call it a day
