Outside of a super conference like the Big East, I don't see why you'd want them.I think the bigger news, buried in there with the oversigning blurb, is that they're going to eliminate divisions in basketball and just seed teams 1-12.

Yep. I don't like the way they "solved" it. It takes away flexibility. Like the idiots who make me show a license and won't sell me more claritin D than 15 at a time become some Juggalos bought wheelbarrows full of generic sudafed to make meth. They won't be buying wheelbarrows of Claritin D because it costs too much to make a profit. Instead of just banning bulk sales of generic sudafed, I have to go several times a month to the pharmacy and be looked at like I'm an oxycontin addict just because I don't want buy stuff to avoid sneezing at oak pollen. The bigger news is the medical exemptions will be reviewed by the conference, and that the NCAA is also looking at creating a national set of guidelines.

Here, the problem was in some not telling kids their status until just before signing day, in Saban misusing red shirts, and in claims of a few schools launching already enrolled kids at the last minute to make way for the oversigned numbers. I would have preferred to see rules about each of those practices, and keep the current system.

The SEC also extended the current rule permitting Mississippi State to have cowbells in its home stadium.
