Oversigning (capacity 25, everyone welcome! maybe)

I think the bigger news, buried in there with the oversigning blurb, is that they're going to eliminate divisions in basketball and just seed teams 1-12.

Clearly, the B1G model of running a 12-team conference has been such a smashing success, the SEC feels they need to copy it right away.

Outside of a super conference like the Big East, I don't see why you'd want them.

A giant hole in the ground is getting way too much love and tear protection here, considering Zion Ntl Park & Bryce Canyon were as enjoyable if not more.

:tibor: It's called the GRAND Canyon, man. You can't be shedding a tear at a place named after a dude or a place named after the underground human city on The Matrix!

There are other exceptions for different states/regions. \

Ours would be the ramp entrance or dotting of the i.

Hooray! Now they'll only be 15 over the limit over four years!!

The bigger news is the medical exemptions will be reviewed by the conference, and that the NCAA is also looking at creating a national set of guidelines.
Yep. I don't like the way they "solved" it. It takes away flexibility. Like the idiots who make me show a license and won't sell me more claritin D than 15 at a time become some Juggalos bought wheelbarrows full of generic sudafed to make meth. They won't be buying wheelbarrows of Claritin D because it costs too much to make a profit. Instead of just banning bulk sales of generic sudafed, I have to go several times a month to the pharmacy and be looked at like I'm an oxycontin addict just because I don't want buy stuff to avoid sneezing at oak pollen. Asshats!

Here, the problem was in some not telling kids their status until just before signing day, in Saban misusing red shirts, and in claims of a few schools launching already enrolled kids at the last minute to make way for the oversigned numbers. I would have preferred to see rules about each of those practices, and keep the current system.

If buying wheelbarrows full of generic sudafed to make meth is wrong....

Don't forget about the cowbells.

The SEC also extended the current rule permitting Mississippi State to have cowbells in its home stadium.

:pissed:

Those redneck cowbell banging assholes! I'm going to start a new tradition - orange and blue vuvuzelas at the Swamp!

Only good news is those clowns had to pay $30,000 as a fine for ringing them last year.
