Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Not only are they innocent. They're now the victims. Call off the poll. This 'tard wins the prize. I really want to believe that this is a masterful troll playing the long game, but sadly he's probably legit.
gee....i really fucking wonder what that environment could possibly look like. i can't possibly imagine a place where a person should fear for his or her safety simply because they're wearing the jersey of the other team.

Heard any interesting comment by one of the local sports guys this morning. Not saying this would happen but it might be smart. He basically said with everyone calling for them to suspend the program, that they should go meet with the NCAA and ask for the death penalty, that way it gives them a crutch to fall back on, so everyone would blame the NCAA and not the BoT or whoever's decision it would be.

Personally they shouldn't get any crutch to fall back on they should have to suspend their own program...

Give me a break, the Penn State way created this mess. Throw this cult leader in with the rest that need to be excommunicated:
http://www.blackshoediaries.com/2012/7/16/3159823/sally-jenkins-rick-reilly-joe-paterno-penn-state
He had me until:

Do you know why Penn State alums have been so angry with you, Board of Trustees? It's because you acted precisely opposite of the Penn State Way, when you fired Joe without facts; then claimed he wasn't fired; then requested his 1980 PSU rotary telephone using a form letter; and then fired him again in another press release.

But, at least you spent $6.5 million wisely. At least you redeemed yourselves.

That's right, lazy, angry sportswriting jerks. The reason you can tear down the Paterno temple; the reason you can claim Joe lied is because Penn State investigated itself more critically than the Commonwealth government. Then, it told all to everyone. How does that compare to SMU you nooby stooges?
WE don't cut corners. WE play all or none. WE do the right thing. WE maintain higher standards. WE give our best effort always. WE help the less fortunate. And, WE stand up, are counted, and WE FIGHT! when WE see a wrong. That's why...

WE ARE. PENN STATE.

Yes, Joe Paterno failed the Penn State Way in the Sandusky scandal. He wasn't alone, nor was he the most culpable. But, over the preceeding 60 years, he also taught and lived the Penn State Way. He is, in large part, precisely why Penn Staters feel that there is a "Penn State Way" at all.
That is a great legacy. It's a far sight better than the sportswriters' Paterno temple. And no amount of scorn, contempt, or shouting can change it.
Now get off my lawn.

...he sprayed diarrhea all down his leg. GTFOH

I don't have any delusions about the BOT doing the right thing so it's going to take those outside the cult to push for change.
It's possible that the FBI investigation could spark some interest from the IRS. There was such a cult of back door deals there that I would question the legality of some of what happened behind the scenes. Like Paterno's involvement with a real-estate developer in State College.

All I could hear while reading some of that was "WHAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! LEAVE JOEPA ALONE!!!!!! WHAAAAHHH!!!!"
See, I got the opposite. I think he sees dear leader was a total fraud, and is (rightfully, in a way) criticizing the very media burying him now for helping create the monster. But, he loses it in the end when he goes all self righteous, comically claiming ped aggy does things the right way...the PENN STATE WAY. It's actually a little insulting.

This is what did it for me:

Still putting the pedophile enabler high up on that pedestal. So, for me the whole blog, or whatever you want to call it, was nothing more than another Ped Stater screaming "Leave Joe Alone".

Yeah, it's an odd juxtaposition. At the start, he seems to be admitting dear leader was a fraud. Then, he veers off into saying that dear leader created the PENN STATE WAY and that it is still great...even though it was built on lies and deception. Odd piece, but I'd expect no less from the cult...their entire identity is dear leader, and there's no way most of them are letting that go.
