QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

It's easy to neglect the pass when your QB is awesome with the zone read but In order for us to get to where we need to go we need to throw the ball more. All boils back to play calling and protecting the QB neither of which have been consistent this year. I know we have zeke but he becomes much more dangerous if we are closer to balanced

In other words, he needs a lot more attempts.

In the two games JT has started, he has 41 attempts (18 and 23). His not having enough attempts to qualify is a result of his not being the starter for eight of the ten games, and not a neglect of the pass. There have been several mentions of how balanced the offense has been yardage wise...in fact, I think it was during the PSU game that Fowler mentioned that the offense was perfectly balanced between rushing and passing yardage, down to the tenth of a yard. JT starting won't really change that much, other than providing some designed QB runs in place of runs by Zeke...the offense will remain balanced.

QFT

JT had several single-digit attempt games when he came in half way through the fourth quarter. If he averages 26 2/3 attempts per game over the next 3 games, he'll be listed in the ncaa and b1g rankings.

I took that into affect as well... averaging 20 as a starter throws a game still is a little light but I suppose I'd rather be a heavier run team than a throw team. I think getting toward that 25 throws a game is perfect but at any rate 18 throws isn't enough (then again when you have no time maybe it's too many)

Id love to hit 225 yards passing each game about 250 rushing

Agreed! If we are running more than throwing it means we are moving the ball on the ground.

Plus to me a lot of our drives are stalling because it's taking too many plays to drive the field. Stating the obvious here but if we have bigger chunk plays through the air it means less plays we can screw it up by fumbling or taking penalties. It seems to me we are being forced to drive the length of the field by getting 10 yards here and 3-5 yards there rather than hitting a 30 yarder here or there.

I don't like deep throws on first down because when it fails it puts us behind the sticks but if it's ever 2nd and short I'd love to see us take more shots deep.

I wish Zeke would learn something from JT on the way you handle yourself after a loss.
Check out the video of JT's postgame interview. He's dazed and discombobulated and rambling and not a model for manning up and facing tough questions at all. As for Zeke, he could learn a lesson from almost every other Buckeye ever on how to handle an interview after a loss.

This was not JT's last home game so the comparison is a little bit unfair. Also, I do not think that JT's grandfather came all the way from Finland to see him play his last home game yesterday so once again it is not a very fair comparison. Also, JT probably carried the ball more than Elliott so that might add-on a little frustration also.
