Baker says Louisville is not an option with Chapman. "No, no.

It shouldn't be Dusty's decision to make.

What else are they going to do?

Shelve or DFA Arredondo, who they just invested over a year in rehabbing?

Demote LeCure, who is perfectly suited to be a long man - he can throw strikes and eat innings?

Demote Leake, who is the team's sixth starter and can also be useful as a long man for the time being?

Demote Chapman, who in his last three appearances has only recorded 3 outs (0 strikeouts) while giving up 6 ER, 8 BB & 1 HBP?

WTF, Dusty. I appreciate bringing the guy in with a 7-0 lead, but for god's sake, when he can't throw a strike, you aren't fucking helping him by leaving him out there to die.

Chapman, aim the next one at Dusty. Wait, no......aim away from Dusty...better chance of hitting him that way.

Demote Leake. He needs to be pitching every 5th day. Wasting away in the bullpen is doing him no good.

Wandy on the mound today. If Gomes can't get going against him, there is no help for him.

Hopefully Dusty gives Stubbs and/or Bruce the day off. They are a combined 2 for 33 against Wandy (with 20 strike outs). The rest of the lineup hits him pretty good.

I happen to agree with that, but I also think Chapman needs to go down too. The fact that they couldn't depend on him to get a single out with a 7-0 lead... very Lincoln-esqe. I was having flashbacks to last year's debacle in Atlanta last night. When Masset came on the Astors were HR-single-HR away from tying it up, and honestly, if this had happened against any other team in the league that just might have ended up being the result.

Looks like LaGenius is going to miss the trip to Cincy due to complications from shingles.

The man is a rat bastard, but I don't wish this on anybody. I went through this myself about four years ago, and it was without a doubt the most painful thing I've ever experienced. For about three weeks it felt like somebody was trying to pull my skeleton out of my body through the end of my left arm. I can only imagine what its like to have it concentrated around your face & head instead. I hope he's better soon - ripping on him is more satisfying when he's healthy.

I'm not denying that Chapman needs to work out his wildness, and doing it in AAA is a lot safer than with the Reds. Yet I think the plan is Leake will go down soon. He needs to be starting on a regular basis.
