Rugby (6N, Rugby Championship, IRB 7s, etc.)

TTM - Catch some 7s replays on Universal or youtube and then try to watch some of the Tri-Nations (NZ, Oz, SA) this summer.

Most definitely. Not ALL rugby is played on a round field like AFL is right? That seemed... different to me. Was a good, competitive game though!

I think you may've caught a rugby league match which is kind of like the XFL. Good for laughs, I guess but not the real thing.

Try this for highlights of New Zealand's destruction of the Irish this week. Clinic for how the game should be played:

Watch a bit of the link I posted than watch any of the Tri-Nations matches. It's like watching two different sports. The European teams tend to grind things down whereas the Pacific nations play lightning fast ball.

Also, compare a midfield of Phillips playing scrumhalf and Hook playing flyhalf for the Welsh versus a Piri Weepu for New Zealand at scrumhalf or Quade Cooper at 10 for the Wallabies. Again, the Pacific players are just so much more dynamic.

You see it when you watch a Super 14 match versus watching an Aviva Premiership or Top 14 match as well.

Springboks finally coming together as a team. Blew out the Aussies yesterday and look forward to final game against the All-Blacks, who have already wrapped up the championship. Boks win and they will have won at home against NZ, Australia, and Argentia but lost to NZ and Australia away and tied Argentina.

I think the Boks will take NZ by more than ten.

I haven't seen NZ yet (I have the match against Argentina taped to watch this week) but the Springboks looked better than I've seen them in years. Seems like the coaching change may be starting to take hold. Execution and intensity were fantastic. They're better at 9 now and Habana's workrate was off of the charts.

Ya gots to play more than one half! :-\

At least against the Blacks. I watched NZ v. Argentina from the week before last night and felt badly for the Pumas. They poured a lot of heart into it, scored the first try, and hung in there for almost twenty minutes. Then, almost suddenly, it was 30+ to 8...
