I went by the Schott about 6:45, and didn't see anybody lined up outside the ticket office. Now I had just awakened from my overnight bus ride, and didn't get a long look, but in the past there was a very noticeable group of people by that time.

I am pretty sure there wasnt. The way they do it now is as they become available through out the week with different organizations/alumni/ opponent schools return them to the office. I saw some for OU you could buy four together...sometimes I check only a single, but it was a BOX seat, sometimes nothing....best advice check it a few times everyday and you usually can get pretty good seats...I got 2 for OU in 11AA Row 4 and Row 5 piggy backs...pretty good for face even though it is OU.

Many tickets were available for the Homecoming game (Purdue) yesterday. I got a single and my two buddies got a pair together for below face value about 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

*A couple hours before the game, scalpers were asking $150 each! (Olentangy Rd, and later a scalper on Lane ave.).

So, sometimes it does pay to be patient.

Lesson: Tickets are almost always available, and you don't have to pay outrageous prices!

Quick question for the vets or others with any input:

How much would you be willing to pay for sec. 20-b deck tickets for the Michigan game? Or rather, what's a good price point in your opinion? Just wondering because I know someone selling tickets and I really want to go, but I don't want to shell out too much if the view isn't worth it.

Honestly unless you are in the front 2 rows of B deck, I dislike those seats. I prefer to sit in the low C deck compared to B deck.

Not sure. I am just starting to really look at the market this week. Honestly, it's the Michigan-Ohio State game. That being said, Michigan is a 17 point underdog this week. With Thanksgiving weekend being this weekend and the forecast calling for mid 30's, I don't see a huge demand. I think the market is going to get flooded with student tickets. Depending on the section and such, I wouldn't go over a $100 per ticket. I am thinking you'll see tickets for 80-90 this week.

Thanks for the info. I actually decided against those tickets as I am now in position to acquire much better seats for a great price. Patience is a virtue, people. Remember that.

I'm already starting to see the student tickets roll in, so you're completely correct there. I wasn't thinking about it being Thanksgiving weekend. I guess that's one good thing for some of us about the change of date.

Let me begin this by saying I am an OSU ticket buying virgin, and this will be my first "live" game. The wife and I plan on driving up to Columbus next season or the home opener against Akron. We live in Mississippi now, and therefore would like to have our tickets purchased in advance of the drive. So my question is when do the 2011 tickets become available other than the crazy scalper sites that want $400 a ticket??............and what is the best way to get reasonable priced tickets in advance??

I really just don't want to plan a 1000 mile round trip around the hope I will be able to score seats at the last minute. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

There are tons of tickets available outside the stadium. It's quite easy to buy from a licensed scalper, and other than my yearly alumni tickets it's my preferred way to buy.

The game you're planning to go to should have very reasonable prices. Opening games are easy because students aren't on campus yet. With all the suspensions that were just handed down, it' will lower the team's initial ranking and temper the normal preseason buzz, which should hold back prices on the secondary market. Plus, it's a game against a MAC school. Demand just isn't that high for those games.

I bought tickets off the street for a game this season. It was the wrap-up to my honeymoon - I had just spent a couple weeks in Hawai'i and flew into Columbus on a Friday morning. Went to campus Saturday morning a few hours before the game (vs. Indiana, when the Bucks were ranked #2) and bought tickets from the third guy I talked too. I got a pair of A-deck seats on the goalline for $120 ea.

I'll have to leave it to somebody else to go over other advance options. I've never used StubHub or anything like that - because I've never had to.

Also, keep an eye out here for tickets for sale. People will start a threads in this subforum if they have tickets available, and they'll start popping up a couple months before that first game. Just make sure to follow the rules of the forum, and try not to do business with Bernard Rubble.

what sucks is theres no limit to # of tix you can by, so no way there are tix left for most of the games for any general public

wish they would do what they did last year and let some of the alumni people a crack at it, we got Toledo and won't be goin to that game
