Tom Herman (Head Coach FAU Owls)

This tidbit is already getting overused by journos, and I'm sure announcers will be all over it when the season starts too.

Coach Herman's brain : football :: Jared Sullinger's butt : basketball

maybe he can own two wolves that have been taught to box each other, then announcers would really have something to talk about

Well... his offense DID knock off an undefeated Oklahoma State team last season that could have played LSU for the national championship if they hadn't lost to Herman's upstart Cyclones... (it was Oklahoma State's only loss that season)

I also heard Jerome Bettis is from Detroit and Aaron Craft was the Valedictorian of his class.

I never saw this game last year...and this was the most footage I've seen from it. I can't believe there was ever any doubt that ISU would win. They got a guy running around on D wearing #47 named AJ, And a big back coming out and catching passes named Woody. If they are still around I might need to adopt ISU as the "other" school I watch.

Herman (no huddle/up-tempo, shotgun/pass heavy/3-to-4 WR spread, screen, pre-snap players in motion, pistol, duel threat QB, fantastic play calling and not afraid to call the trick play) and Urban (TE/H-Back, option, jet sweep, power-I/smash-mouth between the tackles, tough and versatile players at every position, playmaker-centered, spread the field and create the mismatch, kill them with speed, find/exploit the soft spots in the coverage) are going to make for one doozie of an offense.
