While Murray commanded most of the attention, the player more often in the spotlight had a starkly different night. Harvey senior wideout Chris Fields, an Ohio State recruit, had a frustrating home finale. He caught two passes for 23 yards and gained 36 yards rushing on four carries. He scored Harvey's lone TD on an eight-yard run in the third quarter.
Fields also drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty late in the fourth for arguing a noncall when his legs tangled with defensive back Tyler Erb, who did an outstanding job covering Fields.
"I didn't mean no disrespect," Fields said. "I said something I shouldn't have. I was emotional. This is my last home game. This place is my field, where I grew up. This is my seed, my home."
Fields had so few touches because the Eagles put consistent pressure on quarterback Richard Barnes, who was sacked three times, threw an interception and twice had to chase down errant snaps, one of which Geneva recovered and quickly converted into a touchdown for a 21-0 lead with 1:15 remaining in the first half.

I know that article is old, but I haven't been on the recruiting forums for a while. I would like to say, that though that personal foul could be frustrating, I don't find it for two reasons.
1. It seemed to be based upon frustration mixed with effort, it's going to happen.
2. His appology seemed remorseful and mature, and that is what I want in a Buckeye as far as attitude. Chris definately seems like a very high quality young man based upon that.

I live here in the area and I would not worry about that penalty one bit. Chris is just having a tough year at Harvey this year. They've had competitive teams the last few years and one thing thats been a constant is good WR's and a QB at Harvey as of late...but this year it just seems that Chris is really their only threat and everyone's keying on him and he's not getting much help.

My "self-inflicted" absence from the site for the entire football season has obviously prevented me from providing updates on Chris as I had stated earlier in the year that I would. I see there have been no posts on Chris for almost a month. Please folks, don't forget about this kid. He may not have had the "flash and dash" numbers that some expected this year, but this kid is solid, and also has been named to participate in the "Offense-Defense All-American Bowl" in Myrtle Beach on 1/2/09. Great honor for the "local kid." Let's hope "Capo" can make it down for the game and see Chris play in person.

Peace.
