The crazy thing about all this is if you asked one of our guys if it was worth it, I'm 110% certain you'd get a resounding "NO!"

Ask the same of one of the Miami players and I'm not sure that you'd get a similar reply.
No shit. Hookers and blow > tats and a few hundred dollars.

I feel really bad for all the young guys. What they've had to go through this year (even though they could have left). But also for what they will have to deal with for the next few years of probable sanctions.

Probably a good time to stop acting as if our players are on another moral level than the rest of kids around the country. They aren't.

First of all we don't know what happened in this situation and 2nd talk about over reaction. Geez.....

If any of the suspenders players took a single dime over what is allowed at this point, they should never be allowed in the WHAC again.

After all that happened during the preceding months if they still put one foot over the line then they are either irredeemably stupid or completely lacking in integrity.

Like the lady just asked how can they be punished for doing work and getting paid for it? How are they supposed to know if they are overpaid?

Because they are allegedly adults enrolled in college & not children with limited math skills.

See 513's post above... When you put it together, I promise, you'll have a moment like the scene in Chasing Amy when they realize that Meow-Mix is a lesbian bar... :eyeroll:

I think Tressel was the moral compass for many on the team. He guided them, he protected them, he was like a second father to them. Unfortunately he too was a victim of this and couldn't protect himself. The takeaway here has to be some extreme lessons learned and a fresh outlook. Don't look back.

I think when your "moral compass" covers up improper activity and gets fired for lying about it, you have to at least consider he may not have always been pointing them in the right direction.

Kick them off the team. If they see a snap this year, I will be pissed. The program is bigger than a handful of players, but OSU's reputation is being tarnished more and more by a small group. Don't let them fucking play again. Get them out of here. Disassociate. Move on and show everyone you're actually serious about it.

He was covering for them. In doing so he made a mistake and a lapse in judgement. His compass faltered, his reasons were flawed, but he was a great coach with his team and school as number 1 in his playbook.

That is where I stand on the issue. Coach Tressel made an error in judgement and deserved the consequences of doing so.
However he is still a hullava coach & mentor but more importantly...a good man.
