I've gotten that. I don't disagree. There's a bit more in my opinion.
  2. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Interviewed with Auburn before they hired Malzahn. I think that's his fourth, maybe fifth, interview since he's been in Tuscaloosa. It's all about the right job with him.
  3. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Cincy... I was thinking about conference teams. What a story Gunner has been, eh? Considering the competition faced in the AAC, should those stats be considered?
  4. Who is the publisher of this site?

Someone pays for the server, someone paid for the Xenforo software. Usually listed as ADMIN... Is it Will Bryant? whois is being a little cantankerous this morning.
  5. Who is the publisher of this site?

    TIA?
  6. Bama's Defense for spread teams

How long did you stick around the other forums? Any and all message forums are going to have their "blowhards." Heck, they can be found here just like they can be found on any site. Some are easier to recognize at a casual glance. The lesson I've learned over the years is given time you...
  7. Bama's Defense for spread teams

If you think 247 and Scout are crap, AL.com is excrement from chicken shit. Bamamag (Scout) is far too involved with following Auburn. 247 has its plus side—forum participation and conversations isn't on the high list. The thing about the Bama forums found on the 'net is every one of them...
  8. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

When the discussion of OSU's run game comes up in these conversations I think most are missing the main point—both sides in fact. Personally, I'm not thinking Bama shuts down the run game of OSU. Keeps it below its season average? Definitely. Earlier in this thread I pointed to the red...
  9. Bama's Defense for spread teams

Curious. Which forums would that be? rolltidebama.com has a very level group of posters on that site.
  10. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

One thing about Mississippi State here. You've seen the old adage, "pass to open up the run." The Bulldogs offense clicked this year with a "run to set up the run." Without Dak being able to run, and run successfully, their running game never was able to get going in any game this year. In...
  11. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

That I agree with: it's not how I took your earlier comment. I thought were were insinuating Smart was trying to get in the heads of the OSU coaches and players. Thanks for the clarification!

He took Cardale's tweet about classes to heart. Add to that he's not been practicing in their pre-bowl times due to a fight he was in a little over a week ago—enough swelling/bruising over his eye he couldn't get his helmet on without dealing with a lot of pain.
  13. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

This is from Chris Walsh a beat writer for the Bama beat for quite a few years: ————— The initial comment came from question about whether the Buckeyes were more like a Southeastern Conference team in size and speed than what’s been more typical of the Big Ten of late. “I think you have coach...
  14. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Here's your answer. A little context: Since Smart left the GA ranks (2004) he's spent all but one season coaching under Saban. While you haven't been exposed to press conferences over the last eight years in Tuscaloosa it stands to reason you can see how an assistant coach would emulate the...
  15. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

I get being fired up about the game, but come on now. It's Meyer's system, now in Columbus instead of Gainesville.
  16. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Loosely paraphrasing what Smart said... "We've talked to conference guys, guys that have coached in the SEC, and they all say they have SEC size, SEC speed..." Pre-game, press conference, coach speak answering redundant questions if you ask me. http://bcove.me/hqt421df
  17. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Okay, now I'm starting to understand you. You're right in a sense. However, what you're saying here is merely repeating how Gary Danielson called the game. On the last two drives there were no bunch sets. There were two plays called early in the game that resembled a diamond formation...
  18. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Perception doesn't always equal reality. IF you are talking about that quick out pass that's behind the line of scrimmage Sims has thrown 55 completions like that this season. Completions over 10 yards? 54. Wallace did throw for three TD's in Oxford this year. However, I would not lay the...
  19. Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

@Gcashwell In the first quarter, played in 10 games with 36 carries. Six negative plays rushing with one each against S. Miss, Ole Miss, UT, W Car., AU, and Mizzou. He's had just about as many dropped passes in the first quarter: that may be what is sticking out in your mind.
