For a non-distraction, recent events involving OSU players were a popular topic at the recent Big 10 media event as well as as with our buds at ESPN...
I think UM summed it up....
"The kids work too hard to have a couple of knuckleheads make some decisions that reflect on the entire program,"...
I have a hard time defending his actions at all. This close to the season, why even do something to fuck up all of the hard work that has been put in by everyone else.
We have all been there in our college days EXCEPT we all didn't have someone reminding us of the shit that goes down in...
UM does not believe in redshirting freshman so I highly doubt he redshirts a junior. Unfortunately, with the level of talent that is coming it may be just make way and get out if the way. I sincerely hope not as he appears to be a good kid but he won't be the first big time recruit or the last...
These are 17-18 year old kids getting pulled in multiple directions that often times do not have the guidance and foresight that many of us may have grown up with. I think it is completely understandable for a kid to have some uncertainty...especially from someone that will be leaving home and...
The Browns were 8th in total offense in 2007 when Chud was OC. That was with DA and Braylon catching/dropping passes.
Not a glamor pick but the guy definitely has a lot more offensive cred than Shurmur. If we stick with the 4-3 I am encouraged.
What can I say....I'm a glass is half-full...
I like what I am seeing with this team. We have a tremendous amount of young talent...this team could be good soon. My fear is that Banner is going to blow this thing up...worse mistake possible would be replacing Heckert with Lombardi, but of course we finally seem to have someone that can...
They are okay without him for the next couple of games. They will need him on the 29th against MSU so give him the time off and don't rush him back. I would rather he come back at 100%.
For the first time since they came back the defense actually looked somewhat fast out there. The youth movement on that side of the ball will pay dividends down the road...really encouraging.
That being said, the NFL is still a Quarterbacks league and it looks like we may have drafted a 29...
Again, I said he sucked. Not like this team is going to the Super Bowl anyway so give him a couple of games. If it doesn't work out we draft Barkley next year and have the same conversation all over again. The beauty of being a Clowns fan.
Being a rookie QB isn't bullshit...the bottom line is other people have to step up to take the pressure off and build some confidence. Didn't happen today...no run blocking, no running game, dropped balls = what you got today.
FNA...Weeden sucked but it was his first game. Richardson got 39 yds on 19 carries and no one is calling him out. Weeden needs some help...as in people like Little and Marecic catching the f-ing ball. Not saying he is not going to be Anderson 2.0 but he is a f-ing rookie so give it a break...
I thought Braxton tried to do too much early in the game. I'm not sure I like him toting the ball like D-Robinson...if he does I don't see him making it through the year without getting hurt.
That beings said, For his first game of his sophomore year with a brand new offense I don't think...
Looks like Richardson may need a cleanup. I guess the good news is that it won't be performed at the Cleveland Clinic so he won't have to worry about the subsequent staff infection.
