'05 MD LB Rico McCoy (Tennessee signee)

There IS still hope though. The article never mentioned interviewing Rico's dad... there had been rumors on the UT boards ever since 6 or 7 last night that Rico's dad had said that Rico was going to UT. This Washington Post piece could just be information rehashing this same information.

Wait a minute,I read the article in the Washington Post,it stated that his son would announce today that he was going to the Vols.Do you think they would print that if his dad didn't say it?You can call it an interview or a statement or whatever;that's what it said. And it wasn't an "old" statement.I would love to have the kid come to OSU,but it doesn't look good.A poster on the vols board said that Adam Meyers White was recruiting him to go to Tenn, but that was just speculation.Maybe he will fool everybody and change his mind again, who knows.

While its seems strange..

..that Rico's Dad may have stepped on his announcement. It also seems strange that the commitment of such a high profile recruit is reported in a "grab bag" article compiled by local staff reporters.
