Ryan is Scout's #4 CB and rated #62 in the National Hot 100. he is Rivals' #9 CB and is a member of the Rivals 250.
Ryan has been in contact with Coach Haynes and says that an offer is likely on the way. says he really likes tOSU a lot and will likely visit. also mentions USC and Miami as two of his other possible visits. has offers from Miami, FSU, UF, and UGA and is expecting offers from tOSU and USC soon.

Wow this one kind of came out of nowhere but it's good he is a nice player. We are in on some big time guys with Thomas, Small, Hill, Wallace, and Coleman is already commited.

Great job, Coach Haynes!! Sounds like we have our foot in the door with another great prosepect. Very impressed with that offer sheet. Also like the fact that he hasn't considered FSU as a visit yet (being that the Tallahassee schools are a pipeline to FSU), but that might be because he's so close that he doesn't need to officially visit there.

If we can get him on campus for an official, he'll have a lot to think about.

in all fairness, in some other articles i read he did say that he kind of grew up rooting for FSU. and, with him being in Tallahasse, i would imagine that he would/has unofficialled there several times.

Pretty much all kids from Tallahassee that get an offer from FSU go there. I am not getting my hopes up unless he straight up says he has dropped FSU and I don't see it happening.

It will certainly be a challenge to get Ryan out of Florida, but I hope we are ablt to do it. Along with Coleman and (hopefully) Wallace and Schwartz, Ryan could help make this a special DB class.

I've had one of those feelings about this guy since he popped up onto the radar. I think he'd be a huge get. I think he has a little work to do on his academics, but he's easily in better shape than other guys we are in on. Could be interesting. I do wish he could get here to see a game-day atmosphere though.

i have the feeling that with his 1/20 miami visit, this will be a typical southern boy staying home, which will ultimately bring out the JT can't close fools.

His updates have been very positive since word first came on the board about him having interest in us. The fact that he likes us right now more than hometown (and childhood favorite) FSU is a HUGE step in the right direction... especially without having come out to officially visit us yet.

Though odds are that one of the local Florida schools will land him late in the game, don't discredit what may happen before he comes to visit Columbus (think Doug Worthington, AJ Wallace). I have a feeling Ryan will come away impressed and better informed about us. Just hope it's not too cold come December 10th!

Some good news, but no way am I getting my hopes up on this one. Hardly ever do Fl. boys go North unless they are not being recruited hard by the big 3. He has already said that Miami was his leader, b4 he added us, so I am not going to get optimistic on this one until he calls us a clear number one.

I agree with crazybuckfan but!!!

I hope we play a Florida school in a BCS game. I would love to beat FSU or Miami. We need to become a Florida team killer. The athletes will continue to look at the Buckeyes if we do this regularly. Hopefully The Canes miss a BCS bowl.
