'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

Bottom line - I don't doubt the rumor of a "silent verbal", but I imagine that AJ will take a few visits and delay his announcement, just to confirm his decision. This might be a similar case to Maurice Wells from last year's class.
Well, that result was worth waiting for. Wallace would be a great pickup, I really like his size at corner.

Not to mention the fact that our DBs will probably look pretty solid against Texas... Vince Young could make our LBs look bad (I doubt it)... but I don't see their inexperienced WRs schooling Youboty, Everett, Salley, Whitner, Welch (or JamO, Amos, Lane, etc). They have been notorious for running bad routes resulting in INTs, plus the fact that VY tries to force plays a lot from watching his highlight video.

To summarize without stealing, HH knows of a staff member that would agree with this thread
Ironically, wouldn't the proprietor of that site say that summarizing is stealing?

I know, beating a dead horse...

Back to your regularly scheduled encouraging rumor...

i'm not sure about everyone else, but i'm pretty sure that we are recruiting him as a CB. especially since Ray Small was worked out almost exclusively as a WR at camp. but once again, Wallace is a guy who is very versatile, something that JT has placed great value in as we all know.

i hope that we end up being able to put a confirmed tag on this post eventually! :)

Man, how exciting is this news!!!! Texas has nothing on our staff, I read all the posts about the 20 or so commits the Longhorns got, but our staff just continues to produce, even after losing some great recruiters i.e Conley, Tucker, and so on. Amazing.

if Luke Fickell doesn't receive attention for the National Recruiter of the Year Award that the websites like to give out, then it's a travesty. that guy is a flat out stud when it comes to recruiting. he relates to the kids so well and gets us in the door big time with these kids and also the coaches. he's money.

A.J. has over 35 offers, but has not narrowed it down at yet. He does admit that tOSU is near the front of the pack and he will officially vist for the Texas game. He will take all of his visits and decide after his season.
