    Kallen Wade
    Defensive end
    Cincinnati Withrow
    Height: 6' 5"
    Weight: 210
    2004 stats: 13 sacks

According to Duane Long, Kallen is reminiscent of another recent Cincinnati-area DE prospect, Purdue's Ray Edwards. His favorite school is Ohio State. One to watch, especially if he can add a little bit of weight.

He'll need a good 30 pounds to play on the line in college, or let's see how fast he is with that extra lbs and possibly move him to an LB position.

Withrow is an up and coming program. Their coach had them in the playoffs for the 1st time in school history, I believe, this past season. At so many of these inner city schools the challenge is simply getting the kids to give a darn and show up for practice, school,etc.-things that schools like Centerville or Elder take for granted. The talent is there, but it has to be nurtured, like at Glenville.

Kallen now has offers from Notre Dame, Illinois, Boston College, Cincinnati, Miami (Ohio) and Kentucky. Kallen's coach says he never quits and he led the city in sacks with 13 last year. He runs the 400 in track and has been clocked at 4.5 in the 40.

Wonder if he can catch and block?

  8. I wouldnt be suprised to see him get an offer after camp. We know how are coaches love speed and he seems to have it. If we would get him and Rose that would be another great de class to follow last years.

Wade's father lives in Chi-town, so location could be a major factor in this decision...If it does indeed go down.
