Jacob was an all-city selection after his sophomore season, but missed his entire junior year due to a broken ankle. His favorite program is Ohio State, but he would rather to go school away from home, so Florida State is his announced leader at the present time.

Jacob is from the same high school as current Buckeye RB Erik Haw.

From Scout.com...Jacob wants to show everyone that he is one of the best backs in the nation. He has been invited to junior days at Ohio State (had to cancel), Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Virginia Tech and Cincinnati are also showing interest. He plans on camping at Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Minnesota.

Nice article by Chris Nida...Jacob fractured his ankle early last year and is now fully recovered. He is currently 6-0 205 lbs. and runs a 4.5 40. OSU is his early favorite.

Good to hear OSU is at the top of his list...a few months ago he was talking about wanting to leave the state and FSU being his favorite.

Jacob is an interesting prospect. He goes in a deep pool of athletic Ohio kids that will be competing for what limited offers there will be this year. It seems that for overall depth that this may be the best year in Ohio in a very long time.

I believe I read somewheres, maybe BN, that Haw has raved about this kid to the staff and recruitniks. He told everyone to watch out for him and dont be surprised when he has a sensational senior season....

Of course, I dont remember if he meant at RB or S....

From Crabtree's Michigan camp report...Ramsey was impressive throughout the camp. He ran in the 4.6 range and had a vertical of over 34 inches. He also did well in the one-on-one drills.

DL has Ramsey listed all the way down at #96 in the state in 2006, although this is presumably due to the fact that Ramsey missed all of last year with a broken ankle. Another recruit with something to prove during his senior season...

yes, 96 surprised me, but i can understand why he put him there.

i was also surpised by mixom being in the 60's. i figured he'd crack the top 40 or so.

Jacob had a solid showing at the Ann Arbor Nike combine. So far, he only has an offer from Eastern Michigan, but Jacob is hoping for an offer from his favorite, tOSU. Minnesota, Michigan State, and Illinois round out Jacob's schools of interest.

From the West Virginia site...Ramsey had a nice performance at the WVU senior camp last weekend. He showed speed, strength and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
