'08 MI OL Rocko Khoury (Michigan Verbal)

This is Michigan we're talking about, they recruit on a national OOS level as good or better than just about anybody except for USC (nobody has conistently been recruiting on USC's level the last 4-5 years though IMO). I think many of you Buckeyes are forgetting that. Also, with limited scholarships available for 2008 Michigan will be going for quality, not quantity.

The same Michigan that struck out on all but one of the ten top in-state prospects for 2007? We all know about Michigan's prowess for recuiting nationally, especially on the OL and at QB. However, your recent posts are sounding more and more homerish and less objective than when you first came aboard. Remember, this is a Buckeye site, and as such your opinions will be under more scrutiny...

Which in-state Top 10 lists are you referring to? Rivals or Scouts?

Michigan got 5 of the Top 10 in Scouts list.

On Rivals' Top 10 list 4 of those "Top 10" in-state kids didn't even have offers.

I'm not being homerish with my posts at all. Michigan recruits far better OOS than OSU, and it's because they have to. They have to recruit OOS because they don't have a large in-state talent pool like OSU.

For the love of God, let's move on...Michigan recruits well out of state because they have to...we will all give you that. Let's keep this thread about Rocko...

Rocko looks like a chubby, and there is not a lot of football talent in Northern Lower Michigan for him to compete against.

I wonder if he has camped anywhere and how he looked??

After the NC game I am not so enamored of big, slow linemen.

5.0 forty is pretty good for an OL but he just LOOKS like a chubby, for gosh sake!!!

Maybe a little more puberty will lean him out.

I agree with your assesment UpNorthBuckeye.

Don't think Rocko will get a Michigan offer. Initial scholarship count right now is at 13, but the number may get upto 18.

The two in-state JR offensive lineman that Michigan seems after the hardest are Carlin Landingham (6'2, 275) of Muskegon and Dann O'Neill (6'7, 290) of Grand Haven.

UM just offered Braxston Cave as well...a center from IN.

Another reason why I don't think Rocko will get a Michigan offer. Rocko is more of an interior player to begin with and Michigan has plenty of interior lineman on the depth chart, they are thin at Tackle however. Rocko is a project player with some upside though, he can play D-1 ball IMO. Looks like a classic Michigan State kid to me. Speaking of MSU, I think Dantonio is going to do a much better job than JLS. Unlike John L. I think he'll help bring some repsect back to the B10 as a leauge and make the conference stronger from top to bottom.

hes looking pretty lean there. im not trying to say this kid is going to be a stud or that he will get an offer, but as a backup plan to some of the top linemen i wouldnt mind seeing him get one.
