'08 NJ LB Brendan Beal (Florida Signee - transfer to Minnesota)

Bada Bing!

USC is returning to New Jersey in its search for a linebacker with Brendan Beal of Roxbury, N.J., the current target. Florida and Ohio State already offered Beal (6-3, 235) along with Notre Dame.
Remember, Irish coach Charlie Weis told Brian Cushing he would not lose any more recruits to USC from his home state.

Highly regarded Roxbury (N.J.) linebacker Brendan Beal attended the scrimmage and did everything but commit to the Trojans afterward.

"After seeing this atmosphere and style, it's the total package," Beal said. "I'm kind of speechless. I was waiting for an offer for some time. I've wanted to get out here."

USC offered Beal a scholarship two weeks ago. Florida, Notre Dame and Ohio State also have offered him scholarships. Beal (6-foot-4, 235 pounds) said he wants to make his decision by early summer.

He couldn't stop gushing about USC on Saturday. And it didn't hurt that Trojans linebacker Brian Cushing is also from New Jersey.

"I used to watch him," Beal said. "I've kind of looked up to him."

From the (joke of a) BC site...Beal reiterates his interest in BC.

Once again the BC Rivals site shows they are one of the most biased around...they obviously heard about the Beal to USC rumors and figured they jbetter get in on the action ASAP.
