Prospect who is getting looks on both sides of the football. Earned All-City honors as a tight end and defensive end as a junior and is getting early interest and offers from several programs.

So my friends mom is a Janitor at my school...And she just called me knowing I am a huge Buckeye fan, and says Jim Tressel is up at the school at the moment. He is talking with our Star Tight end/DE Kevin Koger.
Btw I go to Whitmer incase you didn't know who Kevin is.

Sorry guys, I rarely post, mostly read. My cousin played football with him at Whitmer and is a friend of his, so I have seen him play on occasion. He is a physical speciman and a great athlete. To my knowledge, I would not say he is a Michigan fan. He seems to be very familiar with tOSU.

Just reporting what I heard...

I heard the exact same thing from a UM fan.

EDIT: Just to clarify, he said he was upset because this kid loved Michigan, but OSU jumped on him quicker and that "there was no way" he could turn down an OSU offer.

Kevin Koger-Michigan offer?

I thought this was interesting. He was at my store on Wednesday evening and said that he had a offer from Michigan. He is suppose to go to tOSU over this weekend at some point. Does anyone else know anything about this? What I mean, has anyone heard from other sources? We have seen in the past that kids often think they have an official offer, but do not. With that being said I do tend to believe him, however.

By Dave Berk...Michigan, Purdue, Toledo and Eastern Michigan have offered and OSU is in contact.

My next obsession. I saw Kevin play this past football season and he has great potential as a TE and he's an honor student. (During the TCC v Whitmer game in '06, Sanzenbacher was lined up against him on Defense and there was a height advantage but he caught a few passes). Kevin made some key receptions in Whitmers post season state champ playoff games. my sources informed me that JT visited Toledo Whitmer during signing week and saw Kevin. JT told him he needs to add some weight though. JT returned to the school unannounced to watch Kevin play basketball. I understand the coach looks for multi-sport athletes. He's a junior so we'll be watching him this coming football season. I liked to see Kevin get an offer. If we have Koger and Stoneburner next year ...
