'08 PA ATH Cameron Saddler (Pitt signee)

I think Saddler is frickin hilarious after reading that interview. Maybe he comes across as a little cocky, but I love his comment about college coaches being nothing more than used car salesmen. He seemed to be having fun with the interview and showing some personality.

Cocky C'mon Guys;

Confident maybe, sounds like some hatin' goin on, A 17 year old kid havin fun in a game he loves, article not about hale surprise!, Great kid doin good things in pa football keep your eye on him. Great Personality on and off the field.

Height dosen't appear to be an issue, Confidence is not an issue if you ever get the chance to meet saddler do so, then comment on his personality traits. I wouldn't say boasting, the joke about the girls was just that; u guys tend to take player interviews to serious. A kid with a 4.32 GPA dosen't seem to have much time for the ladies, lol.
Two words I would use to describe Saddler T.E.A.M P.L.A.Y.E.R .

Well, welcome Cam!! I think most of us made comments because we aren't really aware of your character as we have not really had many updates coming from an Ohio State point of view. I am not going to say I don't want guys with a cocky kind of attitude, because I think Malcolm Jenkins does and I am sure others on the team do as well. Here's to hoping you pick the school that will give the best opportunity to succeed and fulfill the goals you have set for yourself, and congrats on all of the offers giving you the chance to reach them!!

That is a horrible interview for the PG! It is more of something you would find in Maxim or something. Cameron is no different than you average high school football player. If I was him I would not even answer questions like the ones they asked cause it shines a negative light on a good kid.

Haha.

I'm sure he's a good kid, but he just comes off kind of cocky in that interview.

I thought it was nice that he gave props to his OL...named each one of them...

I was surprised to see Shayne Hale's name omitted from that interview...

come on, that was a great interview? cocky? i would say he was honest. what part of that was cocky? he was humble and funny as hell. his answer about his height and his acting experience were hilarious. if you think that interview is cocky then what do you think about some of the players interviews that osu has recruited?

If you're a 5'6 cornerback with confidence issues you're gonna struggle.

Welcome to BP Cameron. I have quoted a few responses about your interview, and as you will see, your "cockiness" (as they might say) comes across in different ways to different folks, and not all of them bad. Confidence is a great thing to have at your height, and I would know because I am no bigger than you buddy. :wink2: Good luck with your season and the recruiting process.

Gateway RB rushes to prominence
By Tricia Lafferty
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Monday, August 27, 2007

Gateway tailback Cameron Saddler has been waiting a long time for his growth spurt.
As he enters his senior season, though, the undersized Saddler, who also lines up as a 5-foot-7, 165-pound cornerback, punt returner and kick returner, has come to terms with the fact that he's not going to get any bigger.

"I was in ninth grade and I was 5-2," Saddler said. "I said, 'You know what? I might get a little bigger,' and then it just never happened. I was growing centimeters, centimeters and centimeters, and I said, 'You know what? I'm just giving up. I'm going to be this size forever.' "

Now, Saddler makes up for his lack of size with speed, versatility and heart. The three-star prospect garnered more than 20 scholarship offers and narrowed his choices to Michigan, Syracuse, Virginia and West Virginia.

"I can play football," Saddler said. "If you are looking for a kid who can play football and is going to give you 100 percent every time you step on the field, then I'm the kid you want. But if you want that 6-foot kid, you can go out and find him, but you aren't going to find a better player than me. That's the way I feel."

Late Growth Spurt

I grew 6 inches during my senior year. I didnt think I was ever going to grow, but for a lot for a lot of young men it happens later than expected. I believe Michael Jordan grew 5 inches when he was 18 and a half to 19 years old. It can happen. I dont think it matters much with Cameron but he could still end up a 6 footer. Best of luck to Shane and Cameron. Go Bucks
