'08 TX WR/DB Martin Bayless (Northwestern Signee)

Rivals $

1/10

By Biggins...more of the same...OSU and UF are talking ATHLETE. Visiting Northwestern this weekend, Cal next weekend, OSU on 1/25 and Washington on 2/1 (all offered). Also considering UCLA and UF (both offered).

I know I am going to get crucified by Illini fans for saying this but I was much more impressed with Bayless' film than Cordale Scott's. Here is my review of his junior film nearly six months ago...

I have a feeling that the staff will take one of Harris, Orhian Johnson, or Bayless.

I might sound crazy....but if Harris doesn't decide to commit.....Bayless would be a pretty close second if you ask me.

After watching his film, and the interview from the Under Armor game....I am very close to saying I would rather have Bayless.....but man Harris is good

I was at BG when his dad played there (damn, I'm old)

Martin was a Special Teams assasin. I think he still holds the MAC record for career blocked kicks. Something like 7. Also led the MAC in INTs. Played both ways, and ST. Awesome player. Nice to hear he went on to be a great guy, too.

Look slike we won't have any room for his son. Which is too bad. Sr. was the kind of player we all love.
