Class: 2009 (High School)

Patrick's dad played safety for tOSU before transferring to WVU. He is interested in Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Florida and Ohio State, the Buckeyes are his favorite.

I went to high school with his dad. One of the best all-around ball players I have ever seen in baseball, football, basketball and track and field. If he has the same ability, and based on his measurables he is taller than his dad, there is no reason he does not get an offer. I hope he gets that offer.

If you follow Pickerington Central football the last couple of years you probably know the name White. Terence White was supposed to be one of the slickest athletes in the area, but some catastrophic knee injuries cost him virtually all of his prep career. His younger brother Patrick White is just as talented and he is already being contacted by a number of programs.

Central's White getting sound advice from big brother
By JOE ARNOLD

PICKERINGTON - Patrick White isn't the type of player to take plays off.

It's hard for the Pickerington Central junior to run routes at anything but full speed. And defensively, he patrols the Tigers' secondary as if their end zone is sacred ground. He's been trained and groomed to give nothing short of 100 percent.

If complacency and the temptations of a burgeoning college career, however, begin to supplant White's ceaseless work ethic, he has to look no further than the scarred right knee of his brother, Terence, for a quick reality check.

Terence White stood in nearly the same position his kid brother now occupies. Blessed with sub-4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash, velvet-soft hands and athletic upside most college scouts drooled over, Terence had his choice of playing at any Mid-American Conference school, and Ohio State and West Virginia weren't far behind with their offers.

Patrick has been to three Ohio State games on recruiting visits and has been to Cincinnati on one other. He's drawn the interest of Illinois, West Virginia, Iowa and all the MAC schools, he said. Despite the attention, his focus hasn't strayed from that of the Tigers.

"One good thing about Patrick is that his head isn't in the clouds," Sharrett said. "I'm just glad he'll be back for his senior year. He's been instrumental week in and week out."

i heard he doesn't have very good hands at all...

Great after the catch and with the ball in his hands, but struggles dropping the ball alot...

Haven't seen him play, but this is coming from someone that attends all their games...

That is in stark contrast to what Duane Long thinks.

9. Patrick White (6-0, 175, CB/WR; Pickerington Central)

This son of former Buckeye Terry White is one of the elite athletes in the class. Where he plays is the question. A lot of schools, including Ohio State are in contact. He has the best hands I have seen this year, and that is saying something. He could be even better as a cornerback.
