Based on his tape, i have a hard time believing he has bad hands.. maybe he lacks some focus, but his highlights are filled we just tremendous plays on the ball and great catches

Highlights obviously aren't going to show drops...I haven't seen him live, and I am just going off someone that has seen him play about every week...

Well, obviously, but I think what he meant to say is that the plays Patrick was making in his video make it very hard for somebody to come to the conclusion that he would have bad hands.

I understand that and guys with bad hands can make highlight tapes to try and show that they have good hands...I am assuming he was going off the scoutingohio tape and there was him catching what maybe 10 or so catches...

He seems to do a good job of going up and getting the ball in the air when he has to use his hands, but when the ball comes to his body on a couple of them he seems to use his body to make the catch...

I see him as being better on the defensive side of the ball...Seems to have good hips and can run with receivers...

Ohio junior keeping things open

By Jeremy Crabtree, Recruiting Editor ? Rivals.com

As the recruiting season winds down for the senior class, the attention will quickly shifts to the juniors. One Ohio junior, Patrick White of Pickerington (Ohio) Central, is already fielding offers and is now seeing some interest from several BCS schools.

"Cincinnati made an offer about two weeks ago, which was great," White said. "Akron offered last year after seeing me at a camp."

White is also hearing from some bigger schools and is keeping a mental inventory to keep things in order.

"Ohio State, Tennessee and West Virginia have all been checking in with me a bit," he said"I also just started hearing from Clemson."

Video.

My take: Fine looking athlete, but doesn't seemt o me to be a top-tier prospect. Adequate speed and athleticism but nothing that jumps out at you. Most of the clips show him in soft coverage so it is hard to get a true sense of his speed and hips, but he does look like a lower level Big 10 recruit.
