'09 OH DL Nate Cadogan (Penn State Verbal)

According to the BN$ article Nate has been impressed by the inerest of TOSU. I presumed the coaches were thinking of him on the DL.
No inside info here but speculating on the BGriff, . . .
Is Cadogan a candidate for a TE scholie?
OT just a moment. Looking at Ballard, Smith, Nichol, and DeLillo, suggest some measurables/skills prized by TOSU coaches--Blocking ability, Frame, Hands, Vertical and Speed.
Also the strong interest last year in pursuing Koger, passing on Moore, lead me to speculate that frame and blocking ability are a high priority for TE targets.
From Nate's bio:
Blocking experience/ability? Check.
Huge frame? Check.
Hands? Not sure.
Vertical/Speed? No VJ or 40 times listed on Rivals or Scout profile.

I would say not. I just watched his film over on Rivals and I wasn't that impressed. Poor first step, not very athletic, and pretty slow. That is at DE and I say there is no way he plays TE...I agree with Wad that he eats up blockers and he is indeed huge, so he could possibly be an OSU caliber DT, but I personally don't see it. Maybe tackle since he has the size? Aside from all that he seems like a great person in his AMP interview.

From BWI...talks about focusing on school and track. Has an official offer from UC and has been told to expect one by Northwestern and PSU. Will attend spring games at OSU and PSU.

It seems like Nate has all but decided to go to Penn State according to this post on the BN freeboard by Bill Kurelic.

Personally, I am very happy for him, and it is good to see top notch talent from Ohio ending up in top programs in the country. I wish Nate all the very best!
