Hope you guys get him. :)
You Penn State fans give up to easily. You need to learn to hold your own in Pennsylvania. If Penn State is ever going to get back to being a respectable team both in the Big Ten and nationally you need to keep the top kids in-state. Outside of shrive who is committed to you guys, there are not alot of top in-state guys high on Penn State.:oh::io:

PSU is raiding Maryland this year -- apparently the coaches liked Sean Stanley more than this kid because Stanley got the offer and already committed. I'm not sure they'll take another DE, so you can have this one.

Yeah, PSU is clearly in the position to be giving away recruits, thanks for making me realize that.

He mentions in the article having been close to committing a couple times.

Do we assume that means he has been close to committing to Pitt since that is the only team in his Top 5 (Top 3) that he has visited?

Does anybody know how accurate his weight is? He doesn't look like he ways 255lbs in the picture. If they are correct at 6'5'' and 255lbs he looks like he hasn't even came close to filling out his frame. He could be close to 300lbs and if he kept his speed he could be a freak. His frame reminds me of Jonathan Newsome, very long and lanky, however Newsome is listed at 215lbs and Tyron doesn't look much bigger than him.:oh::io:

Event verified at 6-4 248 lbs. by the Scout staff at the Pittsburgh combine...122 tackles on defense last year tells me this kid has quite a motor.

Thanks for verifying that for me. That makes me like this offer even more, with that frame and his motor he could be a real player for us in the future. He should easily be able to put on another 25-35 lbs in our strength program. I hope he's not that high on Pitt, we have a much better campus and our facilities are second to none. I like our chances if we get him on campus for an official.:oh::io:
