try the ncaa rulebook...

So all of these media outlets and Nike broke the news that the OSU jerseys would feature the LeBron logo, and none of them checked the NCAA rulebook? And there's been no news coverage of the fact that the jerseys will not feature the LeBron logo, as was widely reported, b/c of the NCAA rulebook? Makes perfect sense. :roll1:

The logo was in the same place as the nike swoosh on the old ones.

jwins--was the logo in the same place as in the jerseys they sell in stores (pictured below)? If so, I could've sworn that I didn't see it.

Did anyone else notice that the new jerseys didn't have the LeBron logo on them like they were supposed to? Does anyone know why this is?

they did. the announcers mentioned it at least twice. from when i was in the NCAA i remember that you can only wear one company's logo (we used to have to put tape over other logos if we were wearing more than one). i would venture to guess that a lebron nike logo counts the same as a nike swoosh.

I dunno what the previous discussion was but jimotis4heisman has a point.

Rule 3, Section 5, Art. 8. Manufacturers’ or distributors’ labels or trademarks are not permitted
on the game jersey.

Doesn't say anything about what can be put on the shorts though.

EDIT: Oh and for pants:

Game pants (but not game jerseys or T-shirts) and all other items of apparel
(e.g., warm-ups, socks, headbands, wristbands and towels) may:
Art. 1. Bear either a single manufacturer’s or distributor’s normal logo, label
or trademark or an institutional logo or mascot but not both.
a. The logo, label or trademark shall be contained within a four-sided
geometrical figure (i.e., rectangle, square, parallelogram) that does
not exceed 2 1/4 square inches, including any additional material
(e.g., patch) surrounding the normal trademark or logo.
b. When an institution’s uniform or any item of apparel worn by a
student-athlete in competition contains washing instructions on the
outside of the apparel on a patch that also includes the manufacturer’s
or distributor’s logo or trademark, the entire patch must be contained
within a four-sided geometrical figure (i.e., rectangle, square,
parallelogram) that does not exceed 2 1/4 square inches.

Man these rules are ridiculous.

Congrats to the bucks on a great win against that team up north "AGAIN."

I thought the offense looked great and they played with patience getting touches to Oden. I don't like them playing the zone which obviously kills us in rebounds.

:oh:
