'10 MI DE/TE William Gholston (Michigan State signee)

By yY count of the top 15 players in Michigan that is UM 1 MSU 4.

(Last year it was UM 3 MSU 7 from the same group - and of the top 10 it was UM 1, MSU 7 ....OSU 2.)

Lippett doesnt have an offer wasnt getting one, Bullough was a Spartan legacy, Gholston was a spartan lean as well as Hicks from the start of their recruitments. None the less it does suck to lose Gholston and Hicks because both have all american potential.

I know we got in on Gholston late and it doesn't quite feel like a loss, but it could down the road depending on what happens with Turner and Hicks...if we end up with neither, this could be considered a huge loss imo. In any event, I'm glad he picked Sparty and Dantonio if it wasn't us. I'll still be rooting for him at MSU.

First, despite having verbally committed to the Spartans, Gholston plans on continuing to take official visits to other schools that have shown interest in him.

Second, the 6-foot-7, 250-pounder wants to play linebacker in college. If a school is willing to play him at that spot, he's all ears.

?I don't want to play defensive end at all,? he said.
